  1. Nope, I have been told that Toyota developed that matt slightly textured finish on the intake etc to prevent heat build up and it also allowed heat dispersal at a greater rate ?
  2. You will see an increase in engine bay temps also with a polished bay so be prepared for that, I have a noticable increse now things are polished/chromed, not good for power but fine for a show car
  3. Engine, turbo etc have 1200 miles on them since purchase and install Car has done 89K, however there is very little left of the original car other than the shell
  4. Very strange how we get a car just right then let them go, I have done it, never fully understand why and often miss them after they are gone This one should not hang around, a superb single and a dam sight cheaper than building one from scratch
  5. I dont get involved as a rule normally but you may want to do a bit more research before you come on here with that attitude, this is a Supra owners club where we all share an interest in the cars and have a bit of fun/banter, Niz has posted nothing but poor for sale threads for anything from overpriced mobile phones to inflated second hand Supra bits, the long standing members have given him many many words of advice, he has paid very little attention to any of that, he has even appeared in the dispute section a few times, I am all for new members coming on here thats what this club is all about but he contrubutes very little other than to sell overpriced stuff and to ask for advice on EVERYTHING, including having stuff fitted at his home for next to nothing, which was very supportive of you I have to add and was in great club spirit Niz just needs to listen a bit more and get into the club spirit not just the for sale section IMO
  6. Bugger, I just paid well over £100 for mine, thats a bargain
  7. Very true, sad thing is I could have brought this twice with what I have spent on the Sup
  8. Thats a great offer and I would bite your hand off for that
  9. Looks very tasty indeed One of the cars I would swop the Supra for, that is a good price as well IMO
  10. Its looking great, should be a fantastic car when done
  11. I followed this instruction and after several goes the noise stopped
  12. Matt Harwood recommended and fitted these to my car, they are excellent speakers and have amazing sound quality, I am very pleased with them free bump
  13. I was thinking of using something a bit stronger
  14. It would be a waste of money IMO, stay with stock
  15. Black on black http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/19407380328.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/19407380292.jpg
  16. Mine ran for about 50 mins before it needed to go back on a trailer and off to AFR 50 mins at 0.8bar in 12 months I shall not work out how much that is per minute
  17. You need a new crank pulley, you cant fix this with sealant I am afraid
  18. As real as it was last week http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=157011&highlight=dollar+note
  19. I was trying to help ! You would not see your 6K go very far with a single set up, maybe Hybrid turbos and a piggy back ECU with bigger injectors and intercooler would get you the power you need (450ish fly) you have to think about clutch, brakes, fuel, radiator etc these all add cost, I am not one to put people off going single, it is a great feeling and power BUT it comes at a cost and 6K just will not get you there safely IMO
  20. 40% It would be worth calling your tax office to check, otherwise you would be charged the higher rate of tax (40%) on anything you are owned by this company What makes you think you have over paid, I hear this all the time from my employees, its very rare they are owned money however
  21. You said you want 500 BHP, I guess you mean at the fly wheel, I would get your BPU to the optimum level with good brakes, geo set up and supporting mods, forget single unless you have at least 8K to spend as Homer suggested, a fully set up BPU car is a fantastic machine
  22. Well the alternator is fine so AFR will have to keep looking while I am away on holiday in sunny Spain
  23. If you have to take your Supra off the road because of fuel costs and insurance you would be wise to steer clear of a single conversion IMO, it is very expensive and you need money to spare all the time to keep it running. enjoy BPU and forget single if I was you
  24. :D:innocent: coming back are we
