    I was perhaps misunderstood, but thats nothing new I just cant see this car being worth 12.5K, its a 13 year old petrol drinking high insurance sports car all be it in the best colour and UK spec, all IMO of course and I wish the seller all the best but there are so many bargains out there at present this seemed expensive to me

    I think you may be misunderstanding some of the genuine question/queries as digs at your build, I dont think this is the case at all, I for one would really like to see how this build goes and a full list of costs for each part and the labour time/costs also with pics as we go, a lot of questions will come along the way, we dont have many members who build to this level/cost and I for one watch with interest as someone who has spent a fortune and still never got it quite right you have to admit you must have a fat wallet however, but maybe not for long :)

    Looking at the pics I have to say the bores do look poor and the piston edges look like some det may have occured ?? For the sake of hassle and time it is well worth thinking about a brand new bottom end from Mr T, I paid a little over £1800, a few quid more with a new oil pump and water pump Best of luck however

    Will you set up handle a true 1000 BHP? you have a stock piston and rod am I right ?? Also are 850cc injectors enough to flow 1000BHP ?

    PHR Stage 1 or T61 on a mild boost setting would be fine on the Auto box, remove all that complex twin turbo stuff, would give a reliable set up and allow some extra space for a couple more neons I would have thought I ran a T04R for a while on the Auto box and yes it broke it in the end but it lasted for more that 3 years on that set up with a good tranny cooler

    Matt at AFR perhaps, he seems to map almost everything as well which could be a bonus if you wanted it setting up

    You will get a nice TT6 for 6K IMO, make an offer to sellers and see what happens, there are a few nice cars that are not selling at the moment and a cash offer may be tempting

    Just got back from a working holiday and hoped to have the car all ready and fully mapped for my return but the exhaust manifold (the one thing we re-used in the rebuild !!) has a crack in it, it had been repaired once before so I have ordered a new boostlogic manifold with Matt at AFR who is getting this in from the US for me (thanks!), hope to have this fitted, mapped and up and running soon Moral of the story... single turbos seem to ALWAYS find the weakest link and break it and the spending continues !

    Mine gets mapped this thursday at AFR, Matt you are welcome to put the figures and graph up if you wish, best thing for me to be in sunny Spain during mapping, cant stand watching the car on rollers !!
