  1. With the £ being so weak at present these cars must be looking very expensive to import right now, especially with the 2nd hand car market being so slow here Nice car though
  2. I would have the mapper there on start up and run the stand alone, the stock ECU will not work well with a single, it is very important to get the base map right before you use the car
  3. Replace with a stock rad cap, this may cure the problem, dont fit an uprated cap, it may cause other issues

If you are not looking for big BHP then a TT lump will be the best solution by far, you can BPU this at some point and away you go Single turbo set up for 350 BHP is pointless and expensive, have you driven a Supra TT ?
  5. Mine must have spent more time the the garage than most, must be close to the top on spend also in its life time
  6. yep going to get as much use as possible out of it once finished
  7. worth a read http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6852
  8. As above, the reason why this forum is so appealing is that it seems to have the balance just right it terms of freedom of speech and control of content, I find myself sitting in front of the Tv watching the depressing soaps with the missus and know I will get a laugh on here while also discussing cars, and more to the point Supra's, shame if it changed IMO
  9. Dropped the car off last weekend at Whifbitz after finding out I still have a job with Lehman Brothers ! Having the water injection relocated to the boot along with a boot mounted alloy tank Having Greddy pulleys fitted as my old ones were tatty looking Having Billet tensioner pulley fitted Having the Turbo housing polished Having a new HKS BOV fitted Having new alloy header tank fitted Replacing the intake pipe as old one has xs power BOV fitted Replacing the silicon breather pipes for something a bit more substantial Replacing the Heater matrix piping as I had a couple of ' joins ' in the old one New thicker gauge battery cable from the boot relocation setup New K&N filter for the Turbo Polished water inlet pipe fitted Fitting new intercooler polished pipes Adding heat shield behind downpipe Mapping to 1.5 bar This should be the last bit of work on the engine bay and mapping I hope, just looking forward to getting it back at the end of the week

    Rebuild

What would the point of throwing money for a rebuild on an NA engine be exactly? I just cant see the point unless its for another car, even then the TT lump is the only way to go
  11. Very nice places for the family, I have been several times (my best mate is executive chef), you need deep pockets however as you pay for everything but the pool, also it is worth booking your activities before you go as it is very annoying to get there to find the stuff you wanted to do is sold out
  12. I noticed my local Tescos promoting this service in store the other day
  13. If you look at the thread history (posts by Nizam) its all for sale and help needed for peanuts, no substance, and I am tempted to buy the bloody power cap just so I dont see a thread on its impending sale again !
  14. I went for the new stock bottom end, replaced the rod and bolts, this will be good enough for what you are looking for, I do agree with the turbo change, I had a T88 some years ago and the move to a modern DBB turbo is something I would fully recommend
  15. Can the club not just ban this guy, what does he bring to the forum other than cheap tat for sale and the ability to wind people up, I fully accept he may be poor at English and look beyond this but he has no interest in the club other than a way of avoiding ebay fees for selling junk and I have 1st hand experience of that, there rant over
  16. Just thought this was worth a mention for those who want to break the single turbo mould ! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Supra-HKS-GT2835-Twin-Turbo-Kit-2JZGTE_W0QQitemZ230306122994QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item230306122994&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
  17. Go on then, I can pop the 285/18/40 profile Toyos up for sale on here as they are brand new
  18. Yes the 40 profile does look a little odd, maybe you have a set of those hardly used 35's hanging around the workshop
  19. When I get my car finally sorted I will be looking at the set up next, no point having all that power and not being confident to put it down
  20. Really, that PM must have got missed, I do remember several PMs on payment driving me crackers, and this is the only PM on the gauge -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks, I need to know what size it is, is it a 52mm pod or a 60mm pod thanks sorry i forgot about that lol. My pillar pod is 52mm but if you got 60mm gauge you can cut the trim easy! fail to see the reference to universal gauge that might not fit, I did not try as it happens and sold it on and caused an issue for the new buyer, anyhow, back to your 'nightmare'
  21. Its really annoying when you buy something that is unfit for use is it not, you must be very annoyed http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=166468
  22. I would get a single that has already been built and tested, it makes a lot more sence cost wise in the long run, there are some chaep ones about right now, its a buyers market
  23. cant see the pictures but might be worth a mention if its a 6 speed and what ECU is running at the moment
