  1. I think I may have done something very similar when I got my ZX Spectrum with optional microdrive
  2. and with my luck I would be surprised to get it home !! Think I am going to get a CLK 55 AMG, thats my first choice at the moment
  3. I have almost brought one of these a couple of times in the last two years, seem to be a very practical Ferrari with it having 4 good seats and subtle styling, I have seen them for 25K+ so this is very cheap, I would worry about the following Headlight may not be a cheap fix Last major service in 06 so needs one now Sold as seen always worries me from a dealer, his excuse for age etc just does not sould like dealer talk, it sounds like it needs money spending on it I do really like these, and I am looking for the next car to replace the Supra now, for 20K you do get a lot of car for the money, they were well over 100K new
  4. Its funny you should post this info as one of my good chef friends brought some of the very hottest chilli sauce on this site over to my house at xmas for me to try,me being a bit of a chilli fan and all, I have to say that it was soo hot it is hard to describe, KNOWONE could take that heat undiluted, I had the slightest smear on my finger and place it in my mouth, it was so intense it was painful
  5. I would do the following Place the chicken breast in a plastic bag and bash it with a rolling pin to make the raw chicken into a thin escalope Marinate the chicken in chopped garlic, cajun spice, olive oil and chopped corriander for an hour or overnight if possible grill the chicken on a very hot griddle pan and when cooked squeeze over some lemon juice and slice make a mint sauce by mixing 2 tbsp greek yoghurt with 1 tsp colmans mint sauce and a a pinch of salt I like to use Tabasco as the chilli sauce element (I like the Habanero one but you could use normal or the mild green tabasco) Slice onions very thinly and mix with lemon juice and corriander Toast the pitta and open the pocket, add shredded iceburg lettuce, the grilled chicken, chopped fresh tomato, chopped cucumber, slice onions and drizzle with the tabasco and mint sauce very healthy version of the kebab van favourite
  6. I have a set of the CJ manuals, they are big and heavy, but make me an offer and I will get a postage number
  7. Can't do that, how would I spill up the wall !
  8. Have a nice set up all built into the wall so just want to use all these connections and stick another TV on the bracket
  9. Not what you need after xmas but my 4 year old Sony Wega 42" Plasma is playing up and I need a cheap but nice replacment to get me through the next few months until I leave for France when it will be left for tenants as I will rent the house, can anyone give me any great deals out there for a purchase Saturday
  10. I would get a head gasket check by a good garage, whifbitz are on here in the trader section, ToyotaGT is here http://www.toyotagt.co.uk/ If you are getting the valve seals done you will be needing the head off anyway so the gasket will be changed, you are best to address the turbo seals at the same time IF they need doing, but the smoke issue could be linked to the valve seals I would say you are as likley to have a water leak or faulty rad cap rather than a head gasket fault, the steam is normal this time of year IMO
  11. Hi mate I would be very surprised if your head gasket has gone, the valve seals tend to cause a puff of smoke on start up, turbo seals show up as smoke when warm especially on run down I would forget about local and think experienced and well respected, I would have a chat to Paul Whiffin at Whifbitz or ToyotaGT if I was you, do it once and do it right , you might be surprised that things are not so bad
  12. was it, goodness I am wishing the years away
  13. No it was 2004 and it was the Tracker system, unfortunate also it was the the day the bombs went off in London and there was not a spare policeman for hours
  14. Yes T78 Do Luck Supra (Mine) with tracker and Clifford alarm, buggers broke in while we were asleep and knicked the keys [ANGRY][/ANGRY]
  15. My old R32's bay http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/18516594949.jpg
  16. Well we are either both petrolheads or chavs you decide
  17. Showing my age, and living up to the Essex tradition, I will get my Burberry jacket !! I still would http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/710946.htm
  18. Nice, must stop looking now, bloody forum ! http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/802963.htm
  19. The Escort cossie was never chav, its too expensive to be such a car, the rest of the escort range perhaps, BUT.... I would have a MKI Escort Mexico or RS500 Sierra at the drop of a hat These cars are true classics and I think the Escort Cossie will become one also in time and its resale value goes up not down from what I have seen, how may Supra do that Looking at the Supras I see on here at times I would like to see what the cosworth owners club would have to say about this thread
  20. I would have an R32 GTR over one of these all day long, the Escort is such a lot of money I think the Sierra Cosworth is much better value, its one of the cars I always wanted but never owned
  21. 1980's Z28 Camaro 5.0L V8, it ran 245 BHP with 311 ftlb Torque, nice car easy to maintain and very cool looking IMO Does not like bend too much though
  22. Bob Harman Performance in Watford did all the work on my Camaro, they really know there stuff and work on all kinds of US Muscle from cheap and cheerful to very expensive Stingrays etc, they have loads of knowledge and would be good to talk to regarding what US cars to look out for, they also stock parts etc For US aftermarket stuff I used Summit Racing, you will be amazed how cheap US Muscle parts are, 2 new drive shafts $180, 2 Headers $150 full stainless exhaust with twin pipes $360 http://www.bobharman.com/ http://www.summitracing.com/
  23. I only paid 2.5 K for this, makes for an interesting run about, sounds good to !!
  24. I love the R32, always been my fav Skyline, they are getting rare now, especially stock ones
  25. My LP's and Videos are in the loft, could not give them away, was told a car boot sale would be best and could not bring myself to throw them away
