  1. Classics with huge maintenance costs, the Countach is a dreadful car to drive with a shocking interior
  2. If I go classic it has to be iconic, someting that will appreciate in value even
  3. They have some really horror stories, they have not aged well either IMO, poor interior also
  4. Owned a TVR, never had anything break down as often
  5. Would like that mate, I have seen 2 that I will view this weekend, Always have Dave at hand for any cosmetic/bodywork stuff so a "bit" of a project would be acceptable
  6. Looks are fantastic and a real Brit classic, and they are "reasonable" in price for such a wonderful historic car, I fancy a 1971 as this is the year I was born and something I can cherish and keep for some years, sentimental old fool that I am I just want to get a sense of reliability
  7. Ok, still looking for the next "toy" and I have started to look at classic cars, I have a small list of cars to go look at and wondered if anyone has practical experience of owning and working on the E Type, including the V12 Looking at a Triumph TR6 V8 E Type Jag Stag V8 MGB Not an everyday car so does not need to tick that box, anyone any experience with the above apart from the obvious rust issues
  8. IF you had a daughter I would pick her up in a volvo, its all about the homework
  9. Its not a car for everyone, thats why they are cheap, they drink super unleaded and the parts are very expensive, I buy quite a few cars each year and sell them as well, I knew this one would take some time, like I said no rush I got offered an R33 GTS earlier as a straight swop, worth a look with a little cash my way, R33 non GTR is my least favourite Skyline however I would be happy with a PX if someone has something that will keep me interested for more than a week or an Auto that her indoors can use
  10. No its been on Piston heads for 24 days, not at this price though, this price is for the forum only, PH its £4995 I just love you guys n gals too much
  11. Well you say that but its still here, I have always said the same for the "too cheap" Supras, its all about what someone is willing to pay and someone stepping up with the cash If you have never driven an E55 AMG it is such an special engine, a car that takes 5 Adults in comfort with luggage, an excellent and fast all rounder
  12. No real effort made to advertise to be honest, dont need to sell, just time to move on as I am bored again
  13. I love the way you have the bare head directly on the duvet, I would loose a pair for that
  14. My TT6 with stock Jspec 16's
  15. Just had a brand new rear wheel bearing fitted as there was a slight whine, all gone now for the sum of £300 Now someone come and get the best winter hack ever !
  16. Book. Larousse Gastronomique Film. Rambo First Blood Album. Ministry of Sound 1990's Anthems Meal. Roast garlic scented rack lamb with grilled vegetables at the Auberge du lac's outside terrace on Lake Geneva on a warm spring day
  17. So what have you decided your single spec will be, what size injectors are they
  18. A single kit makes the engine bay look much less cluttered As Jamie said, a detailed clean would make it look so much better, blinging a bay is a sure way of spending a lot of cash for no return other than the odd show, and it takes a lot of looking after
  19. Stick it on the Black Single, it would set it off a treat
  20. As they say on the den "I am out!" it was only going to be a re-sale for me after a bit of TLC anyway Offer stands if Jamie pulls out
