  1. I much prefer a deep almost wet look shiney black paint job
  2. Its a toy mate, I am not planning on building a monster, I know the TH400 will go in but I just want a bit more power and thats it 410 BHP will be more than enough for me, they are "interesting" around corners
  3. 92 Vette, seems to be the right kit ?
  4. Yep, perfect as the auto bax can not take much more than 500 engine BHP before it sees the same issues as the Supra box
  5. http://www.fawcettperformance.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=10&products_id=122 Got one in stock here
  6. Dont pick it up until Saturday then have a huge drive home
  7. Just had 10 mins with him now, they have discontinued the Vortex supercharger kit for my car, I need to source my own kit from the US, not an easy find he tells me, he is very happy to fit and set up, he just can not get one, so it starts !
  8. Thanks, I will give them a shout, with the current US exchange rate, a Purchase from Summit racing may be a better solution and get a trusted garage on here to fit
  9. Owned a Camaro before and find the LHD thing no problem at all, except for the Dartford toll and parking ticket barriers Who is the best to look at supercharger supply and fitment in the South East, I have used Bob Harmen in Watford in the past on my Z28, they were good guys but very much old school and perhaps not the best fit for supercharging
  10. About 34/36 front and rear, any more and they start to look like balloons
  11. Will get them up once I get it home, I hope to bring it to the SRR day for a power run before the supercharger is fitted
  12. Thanks for this info I am going to pick my new one up on Sat morning, gone for something a bit older to allow the easer fit of a super charger and less pain on my wallet, its only a toy so I have made a decision with this in mind (for once !!) Still a lot of fun for the money and if it makes me smile half as much as my Camaro did I will be happy , now wheres that country and western CD gone
  13. Black on black is looking like the best colour combo for me, several on the net to look at I can see the modding thing being an issue again ! Big cams anyone
  14. This might be worth a look ? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1998-CHEVROLET-GMC-CORVETTE-CONVERTIBLE-BLUE-5-7-V8_W0QQitemZ300363294274QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item45ef0c2642
  15. The Ferrari centre in Kent where I tested the 308 has mirrors in the showroon to see how you look sat in it, very embarrassing, but I did look cooler in the car than out !
  16. Saw this a few weeks ago on PH It is not far from me and 100% on my to view list, I need to go with someone who knows these cars really, I dont want to buy a pup, this one has been for sale for a while to ?, maybe they just take some time to sell
  17. That one worries me, it has been for sale for an absolute age ?
  18. I agree, the C5 would have a lot of "cheaper" tuning potential in my budget I really wanted the 308 if I am honest, the Carburetor late 70's model is just jaw dropping good looking, the interior is pre the nasty black 80's plastics with polished sliding switches and an exhaust note to die for, however with it being away from home in storage I just now it would get no use
  19. Think after many test drives in several "sports cars" in the last month or so including Ferrari 308, 456, Maserati 3200, E type, Range Rover sport, SL55 AMG I have narrowed it down somewhat, not having a garage at home takes out most of the above as they are "Fragile" I have a love of American muscle and have owned a Camaro, the Vette seems like a logical option, with a £20K budget what should I watch out for, there are several cars in the bracket, both classics which I like and more modern (2003 cars) Would like a Charger/Challenger but they are just not as practical and everyday as a Vette could be Would love a sorted supercharged car after seeing this clip attached below, seems they are all out my price range however, anyone got some buying tips or good garages to view them in the South East wow !
  20. very sad news, my thoughts and best wishes are with you and your family
  21. Nice one Gaz, I really miss my garage, had to down size after my divorce, looking forward to getting up the property ladder again soon
