  1. Needs a few changes while keeping the original looks I am having the work done this week Brakes are typical American stock, they are terrible and will need an upgrade, this along with suspension set up before I add any more power Stereo change as the original is broken and poor quality when working Get ALL electrics working, I hate it when stuff does not work Full decat, have to hear that V8 rumble New weather seals all round, stock are perished New wheels as I need something a bit lighter for town driving Supercharger is a challenge as it does not fit so well on the C4, it can be done but its expensive, just need to work out of it is easier to just buy a C5
  2. Same thing happened to me, you have to undo everything, check you have the right polarity and push the connectors home really well, this sorted the light flickering for me and I never had the problem again
  3. Going to use it as a PX so no longer for sale PX never worked out (The test drive was a let down on the E320 !) So back up for sale, just had 2 brand new O2 sensors fitted at a cost od £400 plus an oil change Need it gone now so crazy price of £3000 Will take a BPU Black Auto Supra as PX cash your way of course
  4. OEM with UKscoop and lip, job done
  5. I am normally a big science fan, watching the children in need last night ( not by choice I have to say, bloody celebs lording it up for a good cause, their career, but that's another story) but this story got me thinking http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8371662.stm Is this Hadron collider at £6 billion money well spent, the world is in such a mess, we are taxed to the max and still asked for cash to fund things the govenment should really be taking care of , I dont need millionaire celebs telling me to donate Space trips and atom splitting could wait over feeding starving people right ? Rant over !
  6. Will find out at the MKIV dyno day at SRR in a couple of weeks, I would imagine around 250 ish
  7. No worries, I am around all day tomorrow or in the evenings, had it cleaned today so it looks nice
  8. Need to do something about having 11.2 Litres on the drive though ! , guy in the petrol station will be on my xmas card list !
  9. The Camaro was dreadful inside, really poor, this is Ok, it even takes my Golf clubs !, plenty of cubby holes to Some of the issues these American cars have are down to over complicating stuff, the drives seat has air pumps and all sorts for bolster support, electronic sliders etc, non of it works ! The radio in the dash is just a control panel, the control box is in the boot and each speaker has an amp, why !!
  10. No major paint, it only has 53,000 on the clock, done less than 10,000 in last 5 years Hope it turns out to be a great project, Yank stuff is so much cheaper to mod and look after
  11. Owned LHD before, see my Avatar Z28 Camaro, never had a problem with it
  12. Need a refurb and they are VERY heavy, want something to fill the arch, as all the tyres are shot I just thought I would go for something else, the FOOSE wheels look nice on a Vette
  13. I have had a very big BHP T88 JUN built R32 and the change to a smaller faster spooling turbo transformed the car, a bit less power top end but boy it was a much easier car to drive fast, and it made all the power much much earlier I had the same with Supras also, going from a T78 to a T04R the T67, the streetability of a smaller fast spooling turbo is such an advantage and makes for an everyday car A true 550 BHP is a very fast road car
  14. Well, finally got to chuck a bucket of water over it and give it a clean, managed to go over the whole car to create a list of things to do, it is a fairly long list but no surprises as yet, it needs New Wheels and tyres all round, the current tyres are all shot New weather strips around doors as they are perished Fix driver seat electrics as they dont work Fix drivers side electric window as it does not work Few areas of paint to sort out New brake discs and pads Geo set up Full mop and valet New stereo to replace the original, I would like to keep the original for the retro look but it is shot and the Corvette owner club tell me its so complex to fix and quality so poor its not worth it Once I have a full service and clean bill of health then a supercharger project will be on the cards over the winter Will keep this thread updated with project if anyone is interested Well here she is, no glam location I am afraid, just my parking spaces ! De Cat exhaust sounds nice, full decat will sound better Interior is in good shape for a 19 year old car, usual US electric gremlins but all the important stuff works including A/C, Digital dash and warning lights And the heart of the beast, 5.7 Litres of US muscle
  15. The "knob" and logo could be removed in seconds, would not put me off at all, the doors however
  16. Picked my daughter up today from school in it for the first time, love the kids faces when they see a cool car, (9 years old !!) she loved it bless her, and a little bit of me loves it too
  17. If you have owned, enjoyed and miss your turbo'd Cossie, DON'T get an NA, you will regret it and have trouble selling it on, get the best TT your money can strech to
  18. Sure mate, for sale thread here, would not call it a run about, more a 350BHP leather and electric everything cruiser http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=195081&highlight=e55+amg
  19. £7 to rub the gravel/dirt into your paint, spray everything in silicone, I dont like those car washes
  20. Love the UK bonnet look, the best IMO Bargain on the visors etc !, now all you need is some soapy water and a sponge
  21. I feel about £36,000 richer sat here right now eating lunch
  22. Yes and the trim can be (will be !!) fixed
  23. I would be willing to let my E55 AMG go for peanuts (£3250) ?
  24. Driving you dream cars can sometimes be a bit of a let down, the Vette was great fun on the motorway and A roads but it does highlight how "everyday" the Supra is and how easy to drive the MKIV really is, the Vette around town is heavy and the trim is cheap Somethings have to be accepted to get the look you want, I will always need a second car though It was the same with the TVR and Older 911 I had Still turns heads with the V8 through the decat exhaust !
  25. Did you fancy it ?? He has a nice Supra as well
