  1. I thought you kept the L plates until you had a full bike licence, maybe incorrect though as I passed my bike test in 1988 !
  2. I would get everything send from Whifbitz direct to the garage Or get the fluids from oilman, he delivers as well
  3. Ohh I 100% agree, but you know what I mean I do love the slightly tubbed out look of the BIG BHP US forum cars, Those with stock or OEM kits and very clean lines, super wide semi slick rear wheels, oh and 1000 BHP, yum
  4. Very few engines run a true 500 BHP though without forced induction, this is the reason why we get "cheap" power with single turbo set ups Having no lag can be as much of a pain as too much IMO, being on the turbo all the time gets on your nerves around town and sees the MPG suffer I think the 850BHP Jamie craves on a T71 would be as far as pump fuel will allow you to go and keep an element of streetability to boot, look forward to the progress, it will certainly push the envelope in the UK, still considered tame in the US forums
  5. Yeh I agree, when TDI were mapping my R32 they were at 1.8 BAR and seeing no extra gain with more boost at 735BHP, they told me it was not really safe to go on with 97 ron fuel, xylene would have given the added protection to go further but at the time I did not fancy a race fuel map as I did not see me ever using at and TDI mapping time was very expensive at the end of a very expensive build ! I think a different car maybe in order for the really big BHP you crave, but then I know you love the Supra, perhaps fitting a big V8 supercharged would be something to think about, not really a road car then though !
  6. Is a true 1000 bhp possible on BP pump fuel and a 3 litre stock engine ?
  7. I ran a T88 on the JUN built and stroked RB26 engine and I know this is a bit of a dinosaur now but when the power came on it was in a big 700 BHP lump, the problem was as you point out you need the ability to rev higher to get the best out of a big turbo or perhaps the benifit of a 3.2 stroker ? I did find with every step up in power you crave more very soon after
  8. Not joking here but could the power you run, and you do drive it hard a lot have caused any movement in the alignment of the car chassis or set up I wonder
  9. See what I mean ! You going for 1000 right
  10. dont know what you are on about , WED SA70's, stock body, spoiler lip and UK bonnet with a fully built big single would be ok I guess
  11. I have filled them several times, time to put the boots away for a bit
  12. Looks like a really exciting project, please get a better camera for the pics
  13. That is the perfect car for me, but with all the big BHP chasing going on at the moment I would get myself in a world of trouble
  14. Supraloopy and full respray did I hear, Dave explain yourself After 6 Supras I fancy another project, still really miss the cars though and this club makes you want to come back to the marque
  15. I really like this, would be a fun track car, shame it has no MOT as I would have to get it to London on a trailer and take the risk of an MOT fail
  16. Get the Corvette to mint stock condition, buy an old classic car for my next project and stop myself buying another Supra

    value

What, yet another lazy post which is almost impossible to answer
  18. You will be wanting a walnut dash and a pipe rack next Keep it Black
  19. On the search for a nice classic project at the moment and one garage I went to last weekend had the owners dad helping out, he followed me around as I looked over MGB's and TR6's etc, every single car I looked at he had some wild story for or crazy power figures, I was embarressed for him, so much so I just let it go We got the a very nice MGB 6 cylinder that had seen some mild tuning at best only to tell me it was running 500 BHP, I kid you not On speaking to the owner (his son) later he was a very nice level headed chap, I felt he had no idea what his dad was doing, shame as he was doing him no favours at all It goes from harmless to downright criminal what some car salesmen will tell you !
  20. All that show and flame and it sets off at walking pace, tell me it goes quicker than that !!
  21. I dont like the wheels, they do nothing for that car
  22. Thats a good find and for a track car you would sell the wheels as well for a few hundred quid
  23. is it these you are looking for ?? http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MCYCLE&pcode=BBTVB1508
  24. You have the right attitude to the car and value I feel, I do think 7.5K is high for a car that needs a replacement heater matrix, seats, dash and paint I think it would be snapped up at 4.5-5K
