  1. If you have to sell stuff to pay for the conversion a single Supra is not for you
  2. A stock auto box is cheap, in fact they are very cheap 2nd hand, just be ready to have to replace it at some point, this would be my view on it if you kept it stock I fully understand the want to go single, its an awesome power delivery and experience, when I do look back though I did a lot of the tuning/changes/spec for this forum and not myself................ there I said it It gave me a very very quick car that I would be proud to show off, it was a a cash cow however and I would have a BPU car over a single for daily use all day long now
  3. With all this talk of "round town" driving, "not drag racing" and keeping it a daily driver I still wonder why you would go single and not just turn up the BPU boost to 1.25 BAR and be done with it, it will still make 410+ ish BHP and be no expense at all, keeping full drivability I loved my BPU auto, fantastic car which would run quick 1/4 mile times, as fast as a small single 6 speed ! You are in danger of spending a Fortune if not careful and then not being fully happy, I would get a test drive in a BL Auto with Hi stall if you can to test the drivability My comments are only ever intended to help BTW, I have just gone through the single build several times and made MANY mistakes along the way, you have to be 100% sure what you want the car to do for YOU and get the tuner and mapper to deliver this, you should not take too much spec advice from a crowd, it clouds the decisions you make
  4. If you turn the key off you have the problem of the steering lock coming on through which could be "interesting" with no power assisted brakes
  5. That is very nice, should sell quickly
  6. No worries It did "blow up" the next time it was mapped a few weeks later but thats another story
  7. I feel bad now It is a really big step to take and IMO of course should be a step taken with room to continue to grow the power, for example fitting a set of slightly larger injectors that the original power output wanted to cover power increases going forward, I say this because you will want more power after a while, its a bug Your spec will always be restricted by the auto box and the older single turbo you are planning to use, I would perhaps start your planning all over again with a clear stratergy to get the best possible spec for your car You will find better turbos now than the GT35 and you will find that your spec decisions are best talked through with your mapper before you buy anything, it is so so important to get the spec right from day one to ensure you have a reliable set up and a car that is still fun to drive every day
  8. Have you thought about the huge expense for 98 BHP gain over your current BPU Auto, I dont want to sound too negative but I have owned a few single turbo cars and the cost can be frightening and your gains are fairly small, you could up the boost to 1.2 bar on your BPU and save yourself a fortune I managed to destroy my Auto box at 550 fly with an HKS oil cooler
  9. Are the French air traffic control on strike on this given day ? How strong is the head wind
  10. I thought it was rubbish, no idea why it won so many awards but looking at others on here it must just be me !
  11. Worth every penny of £50, I love this venue and great day out with so many stars dotted about and some awesome cars
  12. Congrats, you going 6 speed as well ?
  13. Nice looking Supra and a sensible Mod IMO
  14. Looks nice but needs a bit more Miles ? MOT ? TAX ? Service history Owners Engine pics Interior pics
  15. Thats what I felt when I have a photo shoot with the R32, I thought we would have a few snaps and away, it took hours and hours, so much stopping and starting the battery went flat, and get this, he was so used to this happeneing he had a booster pack with him We finished the static shots in about 3 hours, then we did the very slow spped movement shots which were very impressive, then some drive bys, I was knackered at the end I was never giving a set of pics or any payment either Never again
  16. I think it also depends on what the car is actually worth, why spend £3000 on a respray if the car is worth 5K, its amazing what a full detail can do to tired paint
  17. Thats a real shame, not the sort of injury you want at any time but at 80 that is a real blow, hope he recovers quickly
  18. What colour is the box, do you have a picture
  19. No I have no Supra, just like the people on here Its a Camaro BTW
  20. Jay looks like he came the back way in his car
  21. Because if you like the Jap scene and have money as no object it would be my first choice of car and not a Supra thats all
