  1. Lehmans office was at Roppongi Hills Language gap is huge and a but scary if you get lost as the signs are no use I loved the plastic food on plates for a menu, classic, some wierd clothes on the teenagers as well Great fun and when it get humid ! ! good grief it was hot
  2. Having local knowledge with you will be golden, I was very well looked after by the chefs I met there (was a working holiday), they really know how to enjoy themselves as well, the bars are amazing fun, and the ladies
  3. One of the most amazing places I have been to, two weeks was not enough, enjoy yourself
  4. I thought it was the switch for the fanny magnet, mine was always broken
  5. For £20 ! , what do they use a torch and plumb bob
  6. Thats much better, stunning car, UK scoop would be nice and some mesh over the intercooler with some ducting to help airflow due to the reduced hole with a stock bumper Oh and a TRD rear spoiler.... wait a min I am building my old carin my head again
  7. I would NEVER take a Supra to a main dealer unless it was a mint stock car and I wanted original parts and to maintain a Toyota service history You will see the final bill climb well beyond £300 IMO, it is easily done at a £95 per hour rate (especially when they then add VAT!!) Sorry to here this though, I have always used Elite in Rainham, they are specialists in this field as are Wheels In Motion etc, if they come across an issue they also ask before continuing to rack up the invoice cost The other issues is that a VW dealer is unlikly to have parts to hand and replacments will be via a 3rd party and expensive Lessons learnt and all that is all you can put this down to, hope you are happy with it when it comes back anyway
  8. Would a Supra running without the extra downforce of the rear spolier not aid the top speed run ??, also would lowering the car to the max setting on adjustable suspension also help ?
  9. Bugger, that went cheap, very cheap indeed
  10. Very cool, love the black look, makes a change from acres of chrome Thinking of spraying my Corvette black after chatting with Dave, just love it
  11. The Haywood and Scott exhaust is on now, just going to add a fll decat to release some power and V8 noise Parts will be Daves challenge and I will need to help him out with this I am sure
  12. Nah this car is a keeper for sure, want it to be one of the best in the UK
  13. He will be cussing it by Monday Starting list lol 1. Car has a very odd water drip when hot, it appears not to be coolant, leaking washer bottler or AC !, beats me! 2. Needs a front brake disc, brake line and pad replacment I think 3. Needs a good mop and polish 4. Needs some small paint work on the front bumper 5. I would like the engine detailed and some chroming done on brackets etc 6. I want the carpet dyed black and perhaps the grey plastics sprayed black 7. I have just fitted a hand made Haywood and Scott CAT back, I would like a full decat fitted (more V8 noise needed)
  14. Is it mapped to 1.5+ bar though ??, something is wrong if it is climbing in boost through the gears You are push your luck a bit thats all IMO
  15. I would never push them to 1.4 bar with no fuel management or AFR gauge IMO
  16. 5 min walk to Southend station, get you to London Fenchurch in 40mins
  17. Mine goes off to him first thing tomorrow for a long list of "little" things Dave is someone who I trust 100% with my cars
  18. Very impressive and a great read, just shows what a well maintained and well set up car will actually do, it also highlights the poor workmanship in some singles that have demonstrated bad reliability on built engines at 2/3 of this power level
  19. Any offers ?? I will even help you load the van and make the tea
  20. Very gently poaching a whole chicken or chicken breast before roasting keeps the meat very moist, you go the the ultimate when you sous vide the meat and use a water bath to "cook" it, then use very high searing heat to give the roast outer with a moist flesh, sous vide also reduces weight loss during the roasting process I also like the Swiss designed "hold-o-mat" as a restaurant method of keeping cooked meats in ideal condition when cooked and held for the next course I dont like the idea of soaking poultry in brine but interested in the results you get
  21. Back up for sale as Gaz has a delay in his house move, I need it picked up this weekend, open to offers
  22. A couple of famous Supras missing as well, including Ryan Woon's
  23. 3rd gear pull on stock boost, stock tubbies and an old SMIC will see power peak as the turbos reach optimum level then power will drop off slightly, this will also be exaggerated if you SMIC is tired Without a RPM figure the power drop could just be the mapper/garage letting off the gas as RPM's reach peak, its hard to say Dont worry too much on dyno figures mate, I still say 299 WHP on a stock SMIC,boost and tubbies is a good result with the first CAT still in
  24. Ahh right, that explains it then, my mistake
