  1. There is a MK1 Golf GTI Cab at Hillingdon Motors, page 8 http://www.hillingdonmotors.com/19730/newstock.htm I am very keen on the car from the pictures but its a pig of a trip from Essex, I would be very grateful if anyone passes this place at all and just gave the car a quick look over before I commit to the trip Cheers
  2. I agree, this is very possible actually With my case it turned out they had not got the right insurance so the house remained a burnt out shell for almost a year until they raised the cash to repair themselves !
  3. Will you be removing any weight from the car for the runs Jamie ? I know you have the desire to keep it street but simple stuff like the passenger seat etc ?
  4. Happened to me, the owner of the 2 houses I used to live next to gave one to his son and one to his daughter, they both let the houses out, using the council, they went on to use the two 3 bed houses to home asylum seekers during their application to stay, it was a nightmare as they had no respect for the property or anyone else finally and I kid you not, they actually burnt the houses down cooking in a bedroom ! they did not understand how to raise the alarm by calling 999 ! There was nothing I could do even though I spoke to the father several times (he was on the council himself!)
  5. Was nice to meet you Dont take it to Toyota what ever you do, they wont have a clue
  6. Scaremongering !, that is very dissapointing as I am far from trying to ruin this guys day with bad news but the truth of it is he does not really understand the complexities of a single build and the supporting mods required, it would be very wrong IMO to advise the chap to add mods when necessary and not to get a fuel management system NOW The spec is unknown but needs to be checked, I hope I am wrong and it looks OK but I fear the damage may have already started on the engine I have lost an engine on a dyno due to poor set up and mapping so I do have a little experience and know that I good advise is vital at the start of your single ownership
  7. I would say that has had items removed before coming to the UK as mentioned, no way it would have run a T51 for any long period of time at 1bar and lasted this long
  8. The cost v gain to BPU is actually very good value, if you were to draw it as a graph the line would get considerably steeper once you decide to go big twin/single
  9. A well organized event and a good location for a meet, nice to meet some old friends and some new faces also Shame I have to leave early (plans for the afternoon) and feel knackered now !
  10. You need to take a step back mate, get the car to a Supra 2jz specialist and get them to check the car and the spec over for you, it may have other issues than just needing injectors and an ECU The HKS T51 is a very expensive kit and it is a surprise that it is fitted to a car with such poor thought, does the car have any additional injectors in the intake pipe as this is sometimes a crude method of adding fuel I am amazed a garage dyno'd the car in this condition, the AFR's must have been shocking
  11. T51 is a big turbo to be running without fuel management, I would get this sorted quickly, are you running stock Jspec injectors? I think a full spec list and some pictures would be useful I feel a big bill is on the horizon
  12. Almost everyone in this club is up for a chat mate, look out for you, I will be in a red corvette (no Supra I am afraid! ) see you all tomorrow
  13. It was a Veilside bonnet if I remember rightly Jay
  14. Owned 2 black on black cars, the top one was just about my perfect car
  15. At £4650 is that really "cheap" Good luck with the sale btw
  16. Conservative were never going to win there, massive labour seat
  17. Why did you not say that at the start and prevent me from wasting my time bidding
