  1. I would check intercooler pipes first, one may have popped off
  2. The garage told me it was very rare in all white, I just thought it was usual salesman chat Got it for £2200 after a lot of bartering which I thought was OK, will have to see how reliable it is before I consider that to be great value
  3. , How are you John, about to start a new job so not so much time on my hands any more Don't know where to store it and never tuned a VW before, in fact that makes it more fun, so many parts available and quite a reasonable price for upgrades, going to have a go at some of it myself...... that should be interesting I am looking for some tasteful mods and to make it super clean, not sure an R32 conversion would be that stable to drive, it was the same story with my C4 Vette, it was always the plan to supercharge it but after driving it for the last few months any serious power above stock would be just dangerous as the suspension set up is so poor Storm racing looks like a fun place though
  4. Plan to repair anything that is not working, can not stand stuff not working, this includes the driver electric window and a very odd set of kill switches (will be removed) I plan to make good a small crack on the clipper kit and to repair and re-finish the little rust spot over the rear arch. The car will then have a set of Recaro white leather seats fitted up front I am completely new to GTI's so mods are a real unknown to me, I will of course get Dave to give it a full service then look at tuning mods, I know you can add bigger engines but I would like to keep the costs down and I am sure an R32 lump fitted is not cheap! Bigboystoys.com seems to have a few nice ideas, have a week to think about it before I pick it up
  5. Well another project is about to start now the Corvette is "finished", A MK1 Golf GTI has been sort, found and purchased, it has taken a while to find the right car for the right price, there are a lot of very nice mint cars for sale but they are very expensive, this car was cheap and worth a go, it has a full white 1/2 leather interior and will make a good base for a project The car will need to spend some time with Dave (supraloopy) to get it perfect (he does not know it yet!), he did such a good job on all my other cars in the past I will keep this thread alive with more pictures and updates as they happen, the stickers will have to go first !, I have added a nice one of the Vette as well from the WIM Supra day
  6. Very pleased for you, makes me want one again
  7. Shame, I know how it feels when you have shows and meets to get to and you just keep getting let down, hope you get it back and are happy with it VERY soon Looking forward to the pics you have had so much patience with this car
  8. The good news is you have found out, now you can do something about it So many folk have high BP and just don't know
  9. Hi mate I joined a new doctors in Jan 2009 and as a routine they took my BP, it had not been done for years, it was 200/105, the nurse nearly passed out, she got me straight in with a doctor, your first reading is on the high end of OK but the 100 needs attention for sure, you may have been seeing some white coat syndrome as you are worried but you must get it checked I visited the doctor every month and ended up on medication which took almost a year to work out, my current BP is 140/80 and is OK (not 100%) Get yourself looked at by a doctor..............please
  10. I trained with the peewee's (Junior Solihull Barons), never made the actual team ! I used to skate twice a week, have fond memories as it was a great place to meet girls when you are 13-15 years old, that was 20 odd years ago,had a very nice set of Bauer Turbos I skated again for the first time a few weeks ago at Romford rink, thought it would be like getting back on a bike............ wrong, oh so wrong, I fell over so many times, my daughter was in pieces
  11. Thanks for that again mate Interesting, te screen price is 1.5K above the net price (£2,495)
  12. News back from Jas is good so I am going off for a look Thanks again Jas for the time you took out to view the general condition, very good of you

  14. Could not agree more, the new leader(s) are going to have to make some of the most dramatic decisions and changes we have seen for a long time if we are to shore up the economy, they will need to raise tax, cut spending and generally make themselves very unpopular to get things back on track, big question is can they survive this process or will Labour demand an election mid crisis and regain power
  15. "My Dad" commented on how much bigger my house would be if I had not owned 6 Supra's !
  16. Take your 8K and what you find behind the sofa and buy Michael's, one of the best UK Spec TT's out there http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=212491

  19. Thats a real shame, its not as if the Pod is short of space and parking, going to be a real treat by the sounds of it Are they making a video or something that they want to keep to themselves perhaps ?
  20. That would be fantastic, its been for sale for over a week, it is on site as well, called to check, the pics dont show the interior or engine bay, I am looking for a bit of a project but not a full on restoration
