  1. That would be a very easy profit making car once fixed up a bit, would not have been surprised if you had taken it Jurgen
  2. The fact that you are changing your gearbox means you have committed yourself to this car, you will at some point no doubt also look for more power, this is where the 5 speed will let you down, I would go for a 6 speed conversion if you have to change, however the 6 speed change does make the driving experience very different and I have to say I missed the auto in traffic or when just pottering about
  3. Please let me know if you do as the ones I have ordered could be faulty, would be good to have spares
  4. Been very busy spending cash again, collecting parts for this, have managed to get 2 New white leather bucket seats with new runners and subframes New steering column surround (old one cracked) New Mk1 GTi front grill badge (blinking rare and expensive) New front upper, lower and rear strut braces (forum recommendation to stiffen it up a bit) New bonnet lifters 3 original VDO gauges for the lower dash (3 empty holes when brought) New lower lip spoiler as original was cracked Set of engine dress chrome bits Still need a subtle steering wheel to replace the nasty original one and a nice set of mats, coming along !
  5. DW Services , Supraloopy on here for a fantastic service and well priced
  6. Disappointed.. still best get used to it
  7. Its dotted about in every spare bit of space, outside the station and the green bit with the water features is the most populated
  8. Its a good event as it happens, I am in the Wharf tomorrow morning to drop of my blackberry and keys (left my job on Friday), will have to have a look around There is always some tasty stuff due to the given audience
  9. Having the rear seats recovered in white leather and having new front seats in white leather added (will sell the original seats as I have no space) I have ordered a set of original gauges for the car as they are missing, quite fun actually as the parts are not too expensive which makes a change
  10. You are right, an R32 engine would spoil the car and its daily driving ability Dave is going to just restore the car up to a very nice condition and we are going to add a new leather interior, remove all rust etc, should be a nice car when all finished
  11. Dropped this off to Dave (Supraloopy) today for the work to begin, think he quite liked it Looking at a couple of weeks at least to get it sorted, will get some update pics as they happen
  12. Toyota would be a better option, they are around £300 a pair for UK's or they were when I brought them last
  13. You could go UK Glass or Facelift, your Jspec lights are a little dull as well as full of moisture A new set of lights transforms a Supra IMO
  14. I am kind of talking myself out of it, will just sell the Vette and concentrate on the Golf for a while Think an Esprit will get driven a lot less than the Vette, you can drive that everyday
  15. Condensation, one of the seals is broken, could be a bulb seal or the outer one, time for a new set of lights
  16. Vette is great fun, in fact I really am unsure I should sell but I do get bored so quickly, I pick up the MK1 Golf tomorrow so I have to make up my blinking mind !
  17. Always liked the looks and yes I know they are not reliable, but then I am used to that I have the offer of a swop with a little cash going their way for the Corvette, now I know I was clearing out space but I am tempted Car is this one, thoughts, I have never driven one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1988-LOTUS-ESPRIT-TURBO-BLACK-/300429348071?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item45f2fc0ce7#ht_500wt_957
  18. 25K is a nice budget to have, I purchased a new C200 CDI Mercedes in Dec and I have been very happy with it, I had some AMG wheels, skirts, parking sensors and leather which took it over your budget but the entry level is nice and 50MPG The other option is to get a real AMG merc, I had a E55 before and they are a stunning piece of kit The Range rover is also good or an Audi RS4
  19. Why do that to a Trust gear knob, its like removing a Boss label and replacing it with George from Asda
