  1. I know some of you have an interest in diets so here goes I have always been "challenged" with my weight, I am only 5'7" tall so any weight really shows, being a chef for most of my career I have always had late meals, picking and beer to content with I have used Atkins with short term success for a few years (not the way to do it) and it really works but the weight goes back on so quickly when you come off it, which you are not supposed to ever do if you read the book and follow the rules! Well this year I will be 40 and this has been a real motivation to get myself really fit, lower my blood pressure and feel generally better I started after new year on a 3 times a week minimum regime at the local gym, very hard at first but slowly got easier, I saw some weight loss but the diet needed attention I cut out late eating and removed some of the bad carbs, I then added a lot more fresh fruit to the daily diet and drank more water Now the radical part, I have entered a 28 day Detox diet to fast track a little, the diet is a raw foods diet only, I eat only raw fruit, vegetables and some raw fish for protein, I am on day 14 so half way No dairy, no cooked food (above 63oC) no alcohol, no caffeine and no processed food The first 3 days were pretty horrid with headaches and tiredness, I kept up the gym regime and added some vitamin tables just in-case. I have lost 2.5 stone since xmas taking me from 15 stone to 12 stone 7 lbs, the lightest I have been for many years, the diet has given me 8lbs in 14 days I am running further, lifting more and feeling generally so much better in myself, my blood pressure is now normal and I have brought myself a new wardrobe Just thought the story may add some motivation to anyone who felt as unfit and unhealthy as I did 5 months ago, the real challenge is keeping it off and staying motivated Think I will deserve a Single turbo Supra at the end of the detox !
  2. Kevins car is probably the car that has impressed me the most on my trips to the Pod, watching it launch down the strip a few years ago made me realise just how much was possible with the Supra engine and how slow my single actually was ! However this has been for sale for ever now and as you say has very few creature comforts inside, I am also unsure about the engine build but thats just my opinion of course It would need an interior, styling and a paint job, yes I am being fussy but I think I can afford to be with a good budget ready to go and the Supra price being as good as it every has been
  3. Dont think he is ready yet! Chingy old car would have been perfect
  4. Not up for building one again but I fully understand why you say it
  5. Something like this would be perfect (its for sale in US for $125,000!!)
  6. Its a nice car but his asking price was too high IMO, especially with the work I would need to do to get it looking right
  7. Black 6 speed 600 bhp+ US style single with creature comforts still intact Jamie, not seen anything I really want yet
  8. When I worked at a famous 5 star hotel we used to hear some crazy stories of things taken 1. flat screen tv 2. shower unit 3. taps 4. clock radio 5. lamps 6. toilet rolls
  9. Nice, very nice indeed............now when do we see high boost ! You must be very pleased with Lees work
  10. Ah, went way over my head, not unusual though : )
  11. Welcome back, that front bumper would last about 5 mins around here ! Why on earth would you move back from an R34 GTR
  12. Serious crime, its not even an MOT fail, yes you are required to display a number plate but hardly a serious crime, like I said I have not had a front plate for two years, never pulled for it (will get pulled tomorrow now : ) )
  13. I have not run a front plate on my last 3 Supras and my Corvette, they just dont work on either, I have not had any bother
  14. Love the Testarossa, have thought about buying one a couple of times, think the 355 just takes it for me though (with classic 80's early 90's Ferraris), the F40 is way out of my league ! Your Supra is looking perfect, how have Supraforums taken to it, I am sure that is up their street ?
  15. Very close to the perfect car that I am looking for, stunning spec, I love the T04Z (had one in my GTR) and fresh rebuild, if only it was black
  16. Looking for a black 6 speed stock (US Style) big single at the moment
  17. Thought it best to give it a wash, looks ok for a sub 5K car
