  1. Keep us all posted, I'm interested...Where is it you are going to then fella ???
  2. Sorry to hear about your situation fella. Don't sell the Supra it will only be a short time solution as already mentioned earlier in the thread. Good luck with what ever you choose to do fella....
  3. I would probably just get the car checked over by a professional sooner rather than later just to give you peace of mind and diagnose it....
  4. It may do but I wouldn't know any difference as I have always had spacers on there. I was reccomended them and bought them from Rod Bell (RB Motorsport) who is prob the best Skyline tuner in Europe and currently tunes the quickest European Record Holding Skyline in europe at 9.24 1/4 mile achieved at TOTB last year. If he says they are ok then I'm inclined to believe him he sold them to me and also made them too. Chris Wilson knows Rod and definately respects his opinion he's one of the best.
  5. That's so not true..... I've ran spacers on my last 3 jap cars one of them being a hard driven 600BHP Skyline with 1" spacers on and no signs of excessive wheel bearing play at all. On my 450BHP 300zx I ran 3.5" spacers (Massive) for 14 months and again no play in the bearings what so ever. So as far as I'm concerned it's an old wives tale....
  6. I suppose I could quite easily as I wired it in.... But then that would disconnect the odometer totally as it's the wire that you have to cut/tap into in order to fit it ???
  7. That's fair comment fella, I did over look that it was a copied version of Bomex Side skirts I have to admit I thought they were originals. However, there seems to be plenty of other people out there with copied body kits me included for one with an absolutely spot on job done too even other people in this thread. I'm a self employed Tattoo Artist and in my trade there is no such thing as a cheap and cheerful "Cash in the Hand" job. If there is a problem with any of the work that goes out my door then I will re-do it free of charge which is why I have a good reputation in my Trade and have a 5 month waiting list. I just think that the same should apply to all trades, I would be embarrased and ashamed of any of my work being out there as "Substandard".
  8. Hey Dan, sorry to hear you are selling up fella....
  9. If you want spacers then Rod Bell at RB Motorsport can sort some out for you . Here is a link to his website, He is a Skyline man but the wheel PCD is the same on a Supra as it is on a Skyline (114.3 PCD) http://www.rbmotorsport.co.uk/
  10. OK, heres the latest on my car... After resetting the ECU it made no difference at all. I drove my car to work today and for approx 3 miles I didn't go over 3000rpm and just as I got close to 3000rpm and held it there for a few seconds on came the warning light again ??? I pulled over for fuel after 1 mile filled up re started again and NO warning light came on. After work I was playing around with setting up my boost controller and NO warning light driving fairly hard boosting at 1.1 bar, coming into town from Dual Carridgeways and slowing right down into a 30mph area and driving really slowly on came the Bloody Warning light again !!! It's doing my nut in as it just seems to be really random and has no pattern to it at all ??? Anyone ???
  11. Hey good luck guys it sounds like a proper stressful week and GOOD LUCK to you all give those Skylines a good run for their money....
  12. Have you taken it back and said anything to them ???? I would if it were me and argue with them until I ws blue in the face "CASH IN THE HAND" or not that is poor workmanship either way !!!! If it were my business I would want to put it right as it is the reputation of their business at stake !!! Either that or they simply just don't care what they send out of their premises which in my opinion they shouldn't be in the business if that is their attitude !!!
  13. That's pretty shoddy workmanship maybe you should share with us all who fitted your sideskirts so we can all avoid going there !!!
  14. If they are that cheap why don't you go a bit more £££ and land yourself a Twin Turbo ???
  15. My theory and motto is DON'T do it. If you really must then practice on a write off from a Scrappie first !!!
  16. That's gonna look a nice job when all the paintwork is done fella, good luck and don't forgat to post up some piccies when it's all done...
  17. Window film varies quite a lot in quality hence the variation in price. If you wanna use the cheap crap from Halfords (Defender) it will always definately fade because it is so much thinner than the better quality trade film and always after a few months start puckering up on the edges... The good quality stuff comes on a huge roll around 1.25 metres wide and is very thick by comparison to the Halfords stuff..
  18. Probably is worth trying a new Rad Cap anyway but to be honest if there is a Head Gasket problem then it'll still blow the Rad cap clean off no matter what Psi or Bar the Cap is capable of holding. I had 2 different Rad caps to choose from when mine went and one of them was a brand new Nismo cap rated of upto 1.5 bar of pressure, my head gasket went on the way back from Santa Pod and after pulling over lifting the bonnet to have a looksie my Rad Cap shot off and went about 30ft in the air. My friend and I nearly S**t ourselves and then saw the funny side of it. We topped the car up with water another 4 times to get us home and it blew the cap of everytime again and again...
  19. So the difference between N/A and Twin Turbo is really huge then I take it ??? I've never been in or driven an N/A, I was always under the impression that they were pretty damn quick anyway ???
  20. Thank God for Air Con in this weather, It's been almost unbearable. We love you Air Con......
  21. I had exactly that with my 300zx and i hate to say it but it could be your Head Gasket fella. Mine kept blowing the Rad cap clean off....
  22. I have a friend that will do all of your windows for £150.....
  23. That Trial arse end sure is Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttt, I need one ....
  24. I made sure all the connections were spot on using Bullet Connectors and there was a TRL Fuel Cut defender that I tapped into the Red wire for power from the Ignition, I earthed directly to an upright by the lower door hinge and then tapped into the other 2x wires as per the instructions. The De- Limiter works ok and I have had my car upto 140mph so I know it did the job ok ....
