  1. My fan belt squeaks on wet mornings and I'm thinking of getting it replaced but how much am I looking at for this job for parts and labour. Just a ball park figure so when I take it to my usual garage they ain't ripping me off. Thanks
  2. lol cheers Michel which one do you have. whats the petrol consumtion like in comparison to TT Supra
  3. lol shameless plug there...... I used to like those but TVR it will be
  4. I've been printing off a whole load of reviews off t'internet and most reliable is said to be the chmeara which happens to be cheapest. Not as nice as Griffith or Cerbera but 4.5 litre v8 and convertible should see me striaght!!! I've aranged to have our petrol expenses at work raised so should help there
  5. cheers for that. I've been buyig autotradrer and mags about them so I know its going to happen soon!!! but I'lldrive one soon to see how it is. It appeals to me that its less refined because my initial thought of Soop was that it was too refined. Although I do appreciate the refined nature of the soop at moment when I'm taking it easy at xmas in the busy trafic
  6. i won't ask.... down by the Cool Trader I think. I wish I had a black one afte seieng that one
  7. cheers for that . The Cerbera looks gorgeous but there are some suspiciously low priced ones wheras the Chimeara are all at my price range and I fancy a convertiboe again. The Griffith isthe best looking of lot and I may have a lok at those as well.
  8. I'm thinking of getting one next. I have never driven either which I will do as soon as I can but what are the pros and cons and are they as unreliable as made out? Its one of those things that I know isn't a sensible move but sometimes you have to get them out of your system. I want the V8 noise and in the case of the cerbera I love the shape and the Chimeara is a convertible which appeals to me for next year cheers
  9. alright Ricky is yours a black one sometimes parked in Moreton with a big exhaust?
  10. I do myself and you get the boy racers in their corsas up your arse!!! these cars need respect and I don't mind going slow in wet to look after it and myself
  11. I agree but if it reduces the crime rates that would be a start cos at moment we're al victims of burglaries thefts etc and it will only get worse. When most smack heads I deal with go on methadone it seems to slow them down offending wise cos non of them are good at offending cos they are so desperate. I just think its a pilot worth running to see how it works. Brazil have best policy they shoot all the scuzzers and chuck them in the river
  12. thats the trouble... the druggies seem to last forever.. its the drinkers who die!!! all our alcy clients die early
  13. the daft thing is loads of smack heads get their habit in prison. its easy to get smack in prison and it stays in system for a very short period whereas cannabis etc stays in longer hence people smoke more heroin in prison!!! I deal with crime everydayas a criminal brief and 9 out of 10 jobs are for druggies who have to fund a habit that may cost £100 a day or more. Just think of how much they are robbing to get £100 a day on the black market!!! I don't agree with the morals of the scheme but it could seriously reduce crime!!!! and us money in long term
  14. I used to live in North Camp!!! years ago by the garage on roundabout and drank in elephant and castle!!! mad memories
  15. I'd love a marine set up like that. I've got a few tanks but have never taken the leap to marine. it looks like the hard work has alreay been done on that tank
  16. I've done quite a bit of that and so far so good
  17. Cheers for all the comments chaps. You learn by your mistakes heh!!! I checked where I had parked this morning and there was no leak but I'll keep checking and I drive so much slower!!! lol fingers crossed for the other brakes !! cheers
  18. I appreciate your advice so thanks for replying Yes they are the bigger 4 piston brakes. I took the 4 big bolts out to the back. Was I supose dto leave them? I then took the 2 pins out that go thru the pads and when I took the second one out the calipers just split in half? what did I do wrong cos I nee to put the other pad on? I bled the brakes yesterday and they appear fine now although I 'll take it easy and keep a look out for any leage of fluid on the floor before I drive off
  19. Thanks for thatI'm going to bleed it tonight. I clenaed it as best I could and used the brake cleaner spray and a clean cloth. How do you get the pads out without caliper splitting because when I took the pins out the caliper closest to me just fell off.
  20. I decided to change pads yesterday (without knowing how to do it specifically on soop - my fault) I took calipers apart and brake fluid poured out of the lower part of it. the middle hole of 3 which has a seal. I put them together again and there didn't appear to be any furthe rleak but had quite a bit to top up which I did. there is now no pressure in pedal and brakes don't pump up what have I done wrong? am I alright just to put caliper back together like that? and when I come to do next front wheel how do I avoid slitting the calipers? Thanks in advance for any help:( simon
  21. me neither and I paid my £10 3 months back and applied for pack abou then
  22. nice one cheers for that. when I did the pads on my Bora the other week I lost the locking nut socket which took weeks to replace so hopefully these will be smoother!!
  23. I need to change all my pads. I have done this once before on a VW Bora whioch was straightforward enough but is there anythig I need to look out for on the Soop!!!?? This question prob been asked before but I searched and couldn't fnd specific answers Thanks for the help anyone
