My mate is going to have a good look over engine as he's an engine expert however he has asked me for someone to point out where the vacuum areas on the car so he can try these. I've searched but can't find anything and pictures would be spot o so hopefully I can finally sort my car Ta

I bought this car for my wife in April. It had, had 2 owners from new Its now done 88ooo miles with service history There is a warranty that lasts up to april 08 it is silver with the lovely amg 18"alloys 5.4 litre V8 air con, electric seats, best alpine stereo I have ever had and the best growl for a car like that. Its a real sleeper Its an awesome car and lovely to drive. Its our family car for the kids but thepetrol is quite steep on this and my soop so common sense is teling us to get a diesel e class because we are well impressed with the car We had a dvd player put in boot and there are 2 screens in rear headrsts with head phones for each screen This car is insanely quick for something so big and it is a reluctant sale its just the costs of fuel. £65 to fill tank and we get 280 miles round town. I've posted previously how since I had turbos replaced the 2nd turbo didn't come on and boost for 1st only .4bar My mate spent 5 hours testing all kinds last night, bypassing solenoids etc and checking actuators which all seem to work It ended up at one point that in 2nd(autobox) reved up to 6000 revs without 2nd turbo then in 3rd at about 90mph all of a sudden 2nd turbo kicks in and goes up to .7 bar and car goes as it used to with both turbos running What could this be?

One of my shock absorbers ( rear passenger side) was pissing fluid yesterday. You can hear its gone when press car up and down. I was going to try and do this myself. I've located nuts at top and I can see where its attached by suspension. what else needs doing and can this be done easily enough by a technical mong like me on a ctrolley jack?

what should my boost gauge be showing for standard turbos It only goes to .4 bar and I'm sure 2nd turbo doesn't come on at all I have searched and cannot define search to find specific post

mine did this recently and as it gradually got worse the smoke became more frequent. It still pulled the same and I discovered it was cracked turbo housings

Car came back after having two turbos off a chap o here. Its not boosting properly I have posted about this recently. Its going to .4bar then dropping but driving well apart from that. I took it out of the garage cos couldn't prioritise the cash to repair it yet It needs new rear tyres which I'll probably sort soon... needs new cd player which I may be sorting soon if mate selling his. Other than that its neat and tidy as described... alloys could do with a refurb and I'll give it a good polish etc Garage put new abs sensor on to sort the warning light and put new battery on aswell.. along with oil change I need to reduce petrol bill for household as just got wife E55 AMG which loves juice as much as soop. If anyone fancies a car that needs sorting then make me an offer I would consider part ex's about £2k in value and someting economical Cheers Simon

Do you need to take the turbos ff to change or check the actuators?

Plan?? I wish I had one. Its driving spot on apart from the problems associated with the boost. It accelerates well until the boost drops and the second turbo definately doesn't kick in. I'm taking it to my mates next weekend to have a look

I don't think the 2nd turbo kicks in. It certainly doesn't feel like it. It appears that when the second one should kick in the boost drops and the car just changes up a gear

I'm not sure after driving it this morning. Its boosting to .4 bar instead of .5 bar mark on the boost gauge. Its been that long since I drove the car that I can't recall how second turbo kicked in but it just accelerates revs and instead of the feeling of second turbo kicking in... boost fades and changes up a gear as its auto...

the garage that has just had it said they had checked all that and cannot now imagine what it may be. they simply said the are lost for ideas:eyebrows:

also would i be damagingthe car by driving it on lower boost for a bit

I had both turbos replaced a couple of weeks ago.... bought them off Kev on here. When I got the car back it didn't boost enough so it has been back in. They now say they didn't change the actuators on the ones I put in and din't put the old ones in and say its a turbo out job again which could cost me more feckin cash. the turbos were working spot on the car that I got them of apparently. My turbos that were damaged still boosted up no problem. What could the problem be and do you need to take the tuirbos off to replace or change actuaters? when you put foot down it only goes so far ( slowly ) and then boost fades away I'm close to smashin the feckin thing up
