  1. Hi Guys, I'm pretty sure the below is condensation, but i'd just like to get some 2nd opinions to ease my mind. I've just been to the squires meet, it's around a hours drive from my house, I've had the aircon on the whole time during this trip. When I parked up, i've got a lot of water on the floor (enough to run from the back of the engine bay area to the rear of the passenger sideskirt) This water is clear, does not taste/smell of coolant or screenwash, I'm expecting its just condensation from the Aircon pipes at the rear of the engine with the humid temps we've had today and im worrying too much. Am I correct?
  2. This image looks like the cooler is sideways to where the air would enter the bumper? making the cooler very un-efficient?
  3. You're not going to get quality 19's for £800 quid, as mentioned, the ones you have look ok, stick with them!
  4. Is this to correct speed readings on the needles? or something else?
  5. No sorry I already have fitted some crackle black ones to my car, these were surplus until I go single, which isn't going to be for a while now.
  6. Hi Guys, I've had the following for my build for a while, but I've decided I'm not going to be fitting these parts so they are up for sale. First up is a PHR (Power house racing) -12AN Oil breather set up, the catch tank is in crackle black and is brand new, bought from Callaway Motorsports Comes with the tank, black fittings (silver hose) and some stickers etc These were over 600$ + import fees, whifibitz comparable version is £450 £400 delivered on it's own or see package price below. This is an example of how it fits from the PHR website (mine does not have the 3rd connection to the airfilter area via AN fitting, but a jubilee clip fitting): Polished TT cam covers, these have -10AN fittings welded to them - NOTE: the baffles are currently removed from the cam covers but are included, they would need to be refitted. this was to make sure all the polishing dust was removed from them before i eventually fitted them. If you buy along with the PHR catch tank some black quality -10 to -12an adapters are included (shown in the catch tank pictures) £250 delivered If you want both items I can do this for £600 delivered all in. Payment via paypal (buyer pays all fee's no exceptions) or BACS/Cash on collection Collection from Sheffield (junc 31 m1)
  7. nice car, im also looking for a shooting brake but the colour makes me think they missed the top coat, left it primer.
  8. Im in the same position, might change for something else. General consensus on Facebook was around 700-900 with some other people saying they wouldn't let them go for less than 1k. Then of course there were the people who like to semi trade in these parts saying they not worth more than £500, and they'd have them for that... That's if they are genuine OEM with genuine rails.

    Aerotop creaking

Fit the roof on a flat surface, fitting it on a incline makes it creak. Also follow the correct order for doing up the bolts. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?314767-The-Mega-Aerotop-Leak-Fix-Thread-FAQ
  10. Agreed value is exactly that (how much it would cost a company to replace all the things you've done at an agreed cost) You'll find that the insurance company will ask you to provide a value based on receipts etc that you've spent on the car. So for example, in my case, Sky wanted all my receipts and invoices for all the items I've bought and fitted. Ultimately my car, which is a stock TT (engine wise) Auto GZ Aerotop is currently valued at 19k agreed value (my receipts where slightly more) but I didn't want to seem like I was pushing it. So it's not much of a case of what people think, you need to add up what you've spent. Along with receipts for proof. Start with a TT6 of similar value (base car) I'd expect you're at 16k before even adding in anything extra you've spent.
  11. TCBparts.co.uk will sell you one on a exchange basis for around 70-90quid

    Full Respray Advice

For colour and insurance I don't think it makes much difference? For example, I fitted a nurspec exhaust, Sky wanted another 30quid a year for that. Then I said, I've just had a £4K colour change. "What colour?" "Lamborghini Grey" "Thanks, no charge for this" Eh?
  13. I think he would if he could.. Not that i'd like too after 37 days of riding a bike across europe.

  16. I sometimes have this issue, although it's not happened for a while. While I was reading up on it leaky injectors seemed to be the most popular theory
  17. Only nearly a year late lol

    Values Up!

Just looking over ebay and it's nice to see excellent examples heading up in value. This aero top is lovely and the roof is nicer than i expected it to be! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201586193067?clk_rvr_id=1032496406003&rmvSB=true
  19. I had the same issue, waiting for pistons. They ordered the wrong ones 3 times then had to get them from Denmark. They probably not learned. Stretched the time from 2-3 weeks to 2 months, but i wasn't in a rush.
  20. My torque wrench does to 350nm and was around 70-80quid
