  1. Im sure somebody who has taken all this time to design the parts, finesse and print them is not using PLA what deforms well before the cabin temp inside a supra in the sun.
  2. Somebody at a Mustang meet last year genuinely offered me 40k for mine. Although i never want to sell the car it made me think. I reckon if he offered 45k i'd have seriously considered it. I had to sell my previous 2 supras due to circumstances. Ideally now i'd keep mine forever.
  3. It's something the guy should openly say it shouldn't be a secret if you ask.

    Audi Q7

My missus had a 67 Q5. We recently started having gearbox issues. Almost felt like a wheel spinning judder when pulling away. Swiftly traded in for something else.
  5. Only PLA has these issues. I expect these are printed with ABS or some other tough material PETG perhaps.

    Likwid art

The owner died but i believe the business is still trading https://www.facebook.com/Likwidart.UK/
  7. The oil seals for the cam covers can leak on the 6th cylinder. Perhaps the spark plug well is full of oil or it's getting into the cylinder. Im sure you'd have noticed that when removing the plugs mind. Could be a dead injector.
  8. You sure you don't want £50 each?
  9. pretty sure they are part of the frame of the seatback. You'd have to strip the seats apart. I would just mask the best you can and spray them.
  10. is that part 100% from a supra, the part number doesent look toyota format/style.
  11. If the date stays the same ill be home so i'd be going.
  12. So with the door open (drivers door i expect) the fob locks and unlocks as normal? What if you have the door open but manually press the interior light switch near the body latch does it still lock?
  13. I would get another one for sure. I made the mistake of selling with my first 2 supras. I never want to sell mine unless i was in a situation with no other choice. I would still replace it if i could.
  14. A few people i know with these are desperately trying to find OEM scuttles. The AC and Fans hardly work. Can't bring in any fresh air and some have even seen massive mould build up because of it getting moist and unable to bring any fresh air in. Just don't sell your OEM scuttle for future.
  15. If the valuation is for insurance the value should be whatever it would cost you to buy another car and carry out the work to make it similar standard. If you have the receipts etc just add it all up and there you go. The insurance company will also ask for the receipts anyway i expect.
  16. I did a little work on the car today turning my attention to my subwoofer install and set about sound deadening my boot. I've done the rest of the car over the years but i always put off doing the boot floor. I also removed my 2x 6" subs from the custom enclosure to check the wiring as i didnt know if the subs were in series or parallel which could be screwing up the performance. I change the wiring around for a 2ohm load on my amplifier and made a few settings changes and they sound a lot better now. The fibreglass box looks a bit tatty inside and the speaker fastening area. I also put in some wadding into the box to help with the sound. After the few tweaks she had a little wash, the first in over a year! Thanks for looking.
  17. Im not fishing for anything. just trying to understand what has gone wrong. Your previous posts didn't really shine any light on what has gone missing for what reason or what James has done. I know the unit he was in was sold which means he is looking for another place to work from. Once re-set up hopefully you can get the rest of the work done.
  18. Think this thread needs more information. What condition was the car in before hand? what was James meant to do? and what has he not done? James it not the kind of person to strip and car and what, sell the bits? Which it seems like you're saying but im not sure what accusations are being made? Why was the car returned to you if it wasn't finished? Why did you not even unwrap it for a year? Where is the engine, Why was it removed? Seems very wishy washy for details which are needed. As i put on a recent facebook post. James had my car for 6 months, thousands spent and he delivered exactly what we agreed in the timescale we talked about. All work done to a high standard.
  19. The bodyshop i used removed mine and refitted ok. Just don't forget the bolts, they are glued and bolted.
