  1. For raw speed and grip obviously the Audi is on top. I came from an S5 which i had for the last 5 years but due to a child i needed 5 doors (excuse to the wife ha) and its a fair power hike on the s5 which was very equal to the supra i'd say. The RS range have all the buttons to play with regarding suspension and engine modes etc so while everything is in comfort you can tell it's a big car but when you put it into dynamic it all hardens up and becomes a bit of a monster, at this point it compares to the supra a little more imo, everything is noisier and harder on the road and the steering is a lot sharper. The RS has the dual clutch triptronic too, gear shifts are instant it feels very nice at high speed, id love a gear change that fast in the supra. As you say they are worlds apart and difficult to compare, my supra is only 1bar stock engine'd pretty much so not much comparison in the speed department but they are both pretty nice cruisers. But you can't beat the turbo noise of the supra Cheers guys.
  2. Hi Guys. Just had the new daily car freshly detailed thought i'd share some pictures as it's come out stunning. The Panther black has really come up lovely showing the purple pearl more than i expected. I usually do machining myself however as we've just had a child i have zero time for it so gave the job to a local detailer and glad i did, it's perfect. Full 2 stage polish and finished with Swissvax waxes. Wheels sealed with Gyeon Rim coat and protective XPEL paint protection film fitted to the rear bumper luggage area to avoid small scratches taking things in and out of the boot! → Full Decontamination Wash → Iron & Tar Removal → Full Clay Bar → Hot Plush Air/towel dry → Full Paint Depth Analysis → Wheels removed → Individual wheel decontamination → Wheel arch deep clean → Caliper deep clean and sealed with Gyeon Rim → 2 Stage Machine Polish to eradicate defects → Localised Correction to remove deeper defects → Hand Polished Brightwork → Glass Machine Polished → Xpel Paint Protection Film Fitted to rear bumper top → Body Work Waxed with Swissvax Endurance → Body Work Waxed with Swissvax Best Of Show → Alloy Wheels sealed inside & out with Gyeon RIm → Rubber trim reconditioned → Tyres dressed with Gyeon Tire
  3. have you used the bottom of a walking stick to blank the oem box pipe?
  4. Shame the wheels don't fit. Wonder how it passed inspection and MOT with tyres protruding from the body that much!
  5. Whilst i appreciate all the hard work it's too wide for me. Please start making that bonnet though!
  6. Mate I'd appreciate you not saying I'm a time waster on FB when I spent £150 trying to book vans with 3 different companies for them to say actually they don't have any for that short notice.... I asked you when you were available after that weekend and you never responded.... I wanted to send you a deposit that's how serious I was. I then spent more money booking a van for weekend after but then you block me? I'll give you a tip. Reply to potential buyers don't just ignore them then block them on Facebook for simply trying to arrange an alternative date. God help anybody who might plan to drive 6 hours to buy it from you like I was.
  7. It really sounds like children work at these places. No need to put all the nonsense on the sales thread: If they are listing it as a "gay import" it doesent say much for the other cars they are selling...
  8. I was at kerons yesterday and he has stock of the toyota ones, didn't ask the price though! He did say everything for the supra is starting to dry up, all the prices will be through the roof soon.

    Boost Block

The manual boost control valves are a bit naughty. As you've described, they will work but then the turbos will overboost. You'd need to install a restrictor ring in the exhaust to limit the turbos to a safer limit, around 1-1.2bar.
  10. Is it a NA fan and water pump? The NA Rad is smaller than the TT perhaps that means the fan sits closer to the cowling/rad on the NA? That could be rubbish but it makes sense in my head lol.
  11. Run it for a while, check coolant level, that simple really, or do a sniff test.
  12. rad moving at speed? the none OEM mount you can see in the picture, does that push it more into the fan than OEM? Is the rad sat in the doughnuts properly and the clamps fully level and screwed down?
  13. It would be losing coolant like no tomorrow if it was burning off. What are the levels like? I'd say just condensation, it can bellow out sometimes.
  14. id suggest just a stonechip or perhaps a protective coating from Bilt hamber, they do loads of protective stuff. http://www.bilthamber.com/corrosion-protection-and-rust-treatments/
  15. as above i have a rotary from Festool and ROP from clean your car, quality stuff.

    Top Gear

Out of the old topgear it was the celebrity part i hated the most.. Now they've stretched that out to nearly the full show. Ill never watch it "live" as such but download or record it so i can skip all that tosh. The 3 presenters are ok though although need more chemistry but that will come.
  17. always try and find a bootlid without rust. The bootlid is double skinned at that section it will almost certainly come back unless you completely cut it out. Then of course fit a new seal to avoid any further leakage in future.
  18. I just got myself one, a small upgrade from the S5 daily. The 4.2 FSI has carbon buildup issues as the fuel is directly injected into the cylinder (instead of over the valves) however i had my S5 for 5 years and didnt have a problem. They can be cleaned, just costly (around 600) to do.
  19. DNK, you're not the dude on the new ebay adverts are you? lol. Guy restoring a range rover, nut and bolt, can't be many people doing that!
  20. I don't no, Tromen took mine that i had for sale.
  21. I remember it been on here, but it was purple. then wrapped red. I remember some hoohar about it back then, perhaps something really wrong with it?
  22. Nostalgia for me, had them since 2005 on my 3rd one. There is something about them what brings me back, the styling and the interior it's all way ahead of it's time and also timeless. The club is also like no others, i'm on the owners club for the daily car and that's just dull hardly any posts and chat. Even when i sold my other supras i was on here most days. I'm happy to keep mine which stands me at a lot. But i have a nice daily also for more speed and practicality.
  23. They are great. I've got the same set, had a few things break but because it's the professional range they just replace it free of charge.
