if you havnt updated your xbox then you can flash the drive and still play on live. Otherwise your serial number will already be embedded into your live account and you will get banned / code 66 so its not really advisable. To reflash the DVD drive you need to remove the drive from your xbox connect it to your pc via sata and use a reflashing tool. Perhaps move to members you sure? xbox games are 8gb each hence the need for duel layer dvds
