Hi guys Unsure if this is the right section for a proposed how too but im sure a mod will move it if not
I was bored this afternoon and spending all week fitting my replica TS sides i thought i would give a little write up on how i did it.
You never know it could come in handy for some people.
Basically i did this to save costs at the body shop i consulted the dude before i started so this shouldn't cause any problems at the sprayers.
Parts you will need are:
Some side skirts
A supra
One tube of Stikoflex
A cartridge/tube gun thing
Screws
Drill
Screwdriver
Junior Saw Blade
A few ratchet G clamps
Old jeans, not my expensive g star ones which are now fubared
Some water and a cloth
First of all you want to offer up the skirts to the car too see how good the first fitments is, fortunately for me, it wasn't too bad but needed fettling.
Hold the skirts to the car and mark up some holes to be drilled on the rear wheel arch lip and the front wheel arch lip with the help of a friend hold the skirts while you drill the skirt and holes into the metal part of the wing lip.
You can now blat some screws in there and the skirt should be held up so you can work on the joins and finishes, you can also put some screws underneath the skirt where it joins the floor pan.

If the fit is bad so it doe sent touch the floor pan use some perforated steel and make a few brackets up 5 minutes job.
Now the finishes touches
This is where you're stikoflex comes in:

Use this glue/sealant it comes in a range of colours, the grey is best suited for silver cars, it also comes in black/white/clear the good thing about it from the manual it can be sanded and painted once fully dry.
Run a good bead down all the joining edges of the skirts pull the skirt back a tad if you can to get plenty in.

Once you have done that you can get you're damp cloth or a wet finger and run it along the bead like you would with bathroom sealant to make a nice finish, you need to get all excess of which isn't going to be painted/sanded as it sets like rock when dry.
Any gaps within the door shuts etc can be filled with the sealant as the above picture if a light bit of filler is needed at the body shop its not a major problem. I needed to cut part of the skirt slightly so the air vent joint to the wing would sit flush, the cut doe sent have to be that tidy as i covered it up with the sealant
Most after market replica skirts will not come with the stock fittings around the air vent so you will need to use you're trusty ratchet g clamp or some custom holders as made by uk-rich:
Im holding the skirts front in this picture but if you have a wall to work off you can use these for all the joins:

Once dry, leave it a good 24hrs to be totally safe remove the holders and see where you're at.
If you're lucky and you let the sealant dry long enough you should have decent body lines and join ups:

Then you're probably about ready for paint:

Hope this is useful to some peeps who are tight, like me
