  1. its warm outside, i get 1.2bar in the cold, im only getting 1.0 1.1 in the hot days
  2. 1-2 penny sized blobs on the pad per panel 1 for the smaller panels 2 for the bonnet, doors etc, and yes, plenty of water
  3. any machine can burn the paint, its all in the user. Any angle grinder type machine will do the job, the only diffrence with the porter cable is that its slightly random.
  4. just done my own car after the practice on the "scrap" panels yesturday :D looks well, cba to do pics now tho, im fooked
  5. thats the only problem with repainted cars, u never know where the laqure is thinnest, unfortunately it was very thin there as i hardly had any pressure on. got it out tho
  6. ure just a wingey bitch cus u had to do the wheels
  7. how did you get out of the car without getting soaked
  8. 240v just for shear convienance if you get the 110v you have to get all the transformer box too Just make sure its variable speed and its quite slow on the slowest, the problem was with mine we got yesturday, even on the slowest setting, it was still quite quick, but have like 0 torque so it just slowed right down when you put it on the panel. If you wanted to get the best you can get, Go for the Porter Cable, Ull have to get it from some company, i think screwfix sell them and plenty of places in amercia, and ull need the 110v transformer the cable with set you back around 120quid then the transformer is around 40quid.
  9. Its a strong(ish) cutting compound it removes swirl marks and scratches leaving the paint smooth and swirl free. I cant wait too see the rainbow glitter you have mark in the sun at squires, now its like glass it will come out 10 times better
  10. no the little orbital buffers from halfords are no good. You need an angle grinder type of machine this was only a cheapy we bought, spur of the moment type thing. B&Q had a large selection, try there the makita ones are meant to be the best Then you need either a buffing/mopping pad which screws onto the angle grinder or you can buy Velcro attachments and pads which stick onto that with Velcro Looks good mark, i was happy with the outcome, looks really nice Lots of autosol metal polish, a toothbrush and his missus's nail brush to get into all the crevasses
  11. yeah tony, needs that doing or do what i did and put two thick washers on the tool so it lifts it up away from the bores

    One for the guy's

you can go a step further and stay the night, then do it again
  13. if you fit the correct plug, nevermind weather its made from diamonds or not, check the FAQ thread in technical referance on plugs. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=41927 The plugs you want are:
  14. Those plugs are rated for a stock TT not for a uk TT running 1.2bar of boost, the heat probably got too much for them, hence your problems.
  15. pffft all shalt be revealed......... i think

thought you had ure wheels etc already fitted.
  18. But dont jspecs create around this bhp at the fly 380-400 with 440's? at BPU level? So why only the same for an extra 100cc's ?
  19. take off the bonnet pull lever, take some plyers, and pull on the cable untill it releases.
  20. Ric

    FAO psymon

    perhaps better in forsale?
  21. If its a normal gatso camera you wont hear anything as they can only flash you when you drive past them with it behind you. If its a truvelo camera they take pictures as you approache you and they take pictures from the front with a not bright but strong purple flash
  22. Ric

    Car broken in to

more importantly. Why hide them insted of just removing them from the car?? Sucks bad tho
  23. manual conversion = 2.5k in parts A certain establishment charges around 800quid to fit it all. A decent autobox cost you around 300quid. but i dont know costs for referbishment
