  1. Thanks for the advice guys, and you are, of course, right. The problem being that the current wheels and tyres are the same width front and back (225 width tyres on 7" rims) Which i found out to my peril yesterday, are absolutely lethal in the wet even when driving like a grandad (like i usually do). The other option was to buy some stock uk wheels and tyres (off the forum) and refurb them myself. I'm just not sure i'd be happy with those long term.
  2. they're nice, just too expensive. £700 max including tyres. (my life wouldnt be worth living if i spent more than that )
  3. Way, way out of my price range though Jamie, i'd love a set of any of those though.
  4. yeah the lip is a worry, ive had problems with them corroding in the past, perhaps a more motorsport looking wheel would be better?
  5. Hi guys, I'm after a new set of wheels for my recently aquired black supra, i havent got masses of money to spend, £700 maximum really (including tyres). Ive found a couple of sets on ebay that look nice e.g. ebay wheels I quite like these but does anybody know of other places that sell staggered width alloys with tyres for this kind of price?
  6. Thanks Rob, ive never really gone anywhere, been lurking on here ever since i sold up last time, i knew i'd have another one day.
  7. Thanks mate, i'm really enjoying it so far. I had the car up in the air last weekend and noticed the trays. I'll sort it all in time. Cheers dude.
  8. Well thanks to sky i am now a supra owner once more. I got quotes from a fair few other companies and sky gave the best quote by quite a long way. Thanks guys.
  9. Thanks mate, it's nice to be back. Going lightweight with the bin, fully stripped, caged and lightweight alloys, the binmen are gonna love it Car's staying as it is for now though, just going to enjoy it and keep it clean.
  10. You know, you could be right! i think it was the garden waste bin that i actually washed, dammit. I'll get pics of the correct bin tomorrow as it's too dark out now.
  11. ... wheelie bin, i jetwashed it earlier and it came up really nice! Also in the picture is my new supra! picked it up today and i must say i'm really pleased with it. Here's a few more pics of it (supra, not wheelie bin):
  12. condition of wheels? centre caps all present? pics please.
  13. Hi rayman, just a quick one, can that alarm be used to give the car remote central locking? cheers.
  14. I are glum too, for the exact same reason.
  15. Fancy a quick profit? i'll give you £1200 for it
  16. Thanks Mr Wilson, i'll have a browse.
  17. Just been checking them out on pistonheads, do they go well then?
  18. Yeah and a few inside the budget too, good call
  19. Hi Jurgen, the wife's got a 150bhp Vectra SRI diesel and it's surprisingly quick! Any volvo in particular to look at?
  20. Too many horror stories from friends who have had them about their terrible reliability.
  21. Hi guys, i'm mulling over my options for a new (to me) car and can't really work out what i want so am open to suggestions. I'd like something that's a bit of a sleeper, a bit quick (obviously not supra quick) but also not too flashy looking. Can be a 5 door, not really bothered about the size of it or badge snobbery. Also not bothered about the age of it. Biggest thing is though, it needs to be less than £4000. Any ideas?
