  1. I think he s a guy who lives near Warren Road school dont think he s a member
  2. went right at The War Memorial up station hill
  3. yeah he seemed a very nice bloke he did not charge me and said to keep him informed with what goes on with my car. I will use him for non diagnostic supra related stuff in the future just got to get this sorted first
  4. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=13920&d=1112558346 I think this page has the G2 code I was talking about second one down I spoke to Thor they also know or recognise this code
  5. I was on your sholders because I was interested and a bit boared it was an hour before you started I got to yours at 9 the car went in at 10 I had allready been for a walk around the estate. I only watched you guys remove the second cam cover put on the second gasget and fit back and do the plugs which was 2 and a half hours later 12.30 pm and I paid graciously no questions even though I had been quoted max of an hour to do the gasgets. I clearly remember you saying to me it was a "G2 code" and you said "it was crank or igniter" and "the problem was between the igniter and ecu". I just found it strange that G2 is cam and crank and you did not say this to me and that was the area you were working on. My car also left with a lumpy idel which I was told would reset after 20 miles but it still has this intermitently. I am an honest guy I am not lying I did not bring the car in trying to con you. Jussed a bit pi**ed that the car came in for a relativly simple job which turned out to be really expensive and left with something more serious there's no way of proving anything so I am not going to rant on any more about it.
  6. It could well have been a coincidence but I was suspisious after they told me it was crank and igniter when G2 is crank and cam they also snapped off one of the ht retaining clips when I asked "what was that that" the guy turned around and said "dont worry about it" I know they r not expensive but he did not even offer to take money off the bill!
  7. I have heard good things about AFR but I had a bad experience that's where it went last time I was quoted £75 to £100 for rocker cover gasgets and ended up paying £215 with a plug change (and I bought all the parts separatly) any way driving home the light came on took it back to AFR it went on the diagnostic and a G2 code come up I was told it was an igniter or crank sensor and nothing to do with the work they had done I later found that G2 is crank or cam sensor which is close to the area where they were working changing the covers. I found it strange that they thought the G2 code was crank sensor and igniter anyway top and tail of it I am not very happy with AFR and would not go back.
  8. I have heard recomendations for this guy could well be in Dartford I was told Mepping. 17. new clutch it is then, what about the clunk, sounds like it's from the diff area people have said that the 6 speed is clonky but it's difficult to engage when the engine is running before it engages it clunks when the engine is not running its really smooth does slots straight in
  18. there also seems to be a clunk just before it slots into gear coming from the back but when the engine is off it does not make a sound is this related to the clutch?
  19. yes its seems to be mainly in the high gears 1 and 2 seem ok
  20. Hi guys after being a member for ages I finally got round to getting a soop yesterday:) but the clutch is starting to slip I was told that it might be because the hydrolic clutch is set at the wrong point if that makes sence is this true or is it a new clutch? sorry if it seems a silly question.
