Mine tramlines a bit and all four tyres wear more on the inside than outside. i believe it has none standard suspension though so that might be it. new tyres on this weekend on all corners so that might be interesting. drives and stops straight as a die though so i don't think there is anything wrong. m.

Brian's (TRD) dad also does servicing. He's West Calder way so it might depend what side of Glasgow you are on as to how convienient he is for you. Good stuff and nice chap too. m.

Price now set? I presume i'm arriving late with the price being in the first post What do these retail for? m.

I think the issue is that mass and weight are being confused. In the water the blocks disperse their mass in water, i.e. a concrete block sized section of water while floating in the boat they displace their weight. As they weigh a lot but aren't very massive the water level drops. Its like Neil armstrong bouncing around on the moon, he is still Neil Armstrong, he takes up just as much space but the act of gravity on him means he weighs very little allowing him to bounce around - weightlessness. Weight is just another measure of gravity on your mass. m.

You have done well. i used them twice and the second time i ended up cancelling my order. Basically ordered Falkens for MOT with a couple of weeks to spare. Waited the assured week, no tyres no communication. After chasing them they finally confessed they didn't have them and then offered me an alternative product. I went to the website to check the alternatives (close to MOT so getting desperate) and found they'd offered me the replacements at a higher cost than they would be if i just ordered them through the site! Amazingly bad service. Never bothered to apologise either so i told them where to stuff it and had the same tyres from Camskill just two days after i'd ordered them. The first lot did arrive, they were just really slow getting here but they were odd ones for a mini so i let it slide. Just ordered two more, again from Camskill, and ordered Monday, delivery Wednesday. Mytyres - two weeks for the same thing. Did get a good call from Camskill though, having ordered 145 R12 for the Mini i ordered 255/40 R17 for the Supra, they thought i was building a dragster! m.

Why's he after an import one? Lots of these about given how fugly they are (until lights are changed as mentioned). m.

Had really bad and slow service from them, wouldn't touch em with a shitty stick TBH. Just my experience but i did warn them at the time i'd mention their crap service if the opportunity arose Carry on.

Shouldn't think it would be too bad. Dextron III is supposed to be decent stuff and i have seen cars running 350bhp through auto boxs with DIII in them. m.
-
Just about to have a full set of boots put on. Falken 452 for the front and something different for the rear purely because Camskill had them on offer and the reviews i saw were all good. m.

so you'll be up at what? 8 o clock? i didn't realise that happened twice a day at weekends. hope you aren't planning on getting up early to clean the car too! m.

Might have not had a lot of joy with the GT380 as mine wasn't a two stroke... although it did run on two cylinders rather than three a lot. In fact my dad brought it from Ireland to Sheffield running on two cylinders, still slurped juice like nothing and failed to stop with that big solid disc brake. You'd have a garage worth a fortune if you'd kept some of the bikes you'd had though. m.

Huzzah. Have a look in the Scotland meet section - big one coming up early december if you fancy a meet n greet with some of the other Scotland based owners. Car looks smart - and red! m.

Werewolves of London is by Warren Zevon, its from The Colour of Money with Tom Cruise and Paul Newman. Good tune. i have it but not on me sorry. i did get it off Limewire though so there are copies out there. m.

aye i used insuredaily or something to go collect my supra. age might be an issue but that was £30 so something for the weekend.

Ah the proper old box job! i used to have an E plate 1.0 Micra that was several different shades of silver. Bombed round in it for six months and sold it for what i paid for it. Sat on the road with "for sale" in the window and it had gone in less than an hour. m.

55 years left and 83. Expected a few more questions though! Still not a bad target to beat. I might just annoy the family by outliving the hell out of everyone. Bit like the Queen is doing to Charlie Boy. m.

The Ninja is going off the road though. The J plate GSX with the heated grips is coming off the bench for the second half of the year.

My mate is an enforcer in Edinburgh - the same lot featured on the last Life of Grime. Basically as well as checking trade waste and all the other stuff in the program they do people for littering. I'm all for it, like Pete i hate getting hit by fag ends, especially on the bike, if you don't like the smell of tabs then don't smoke in the car! And that's apart from the whole fag out of packet and lighting aspect while driving alone which to me has to be worse than gabbing on the mobile. If you don't pay you can get prosecuted for none payment of a fine so although it is council employees who send out the fines you can actually get a criminal offense for it. Expensive lesson! m.

II "I've got £50 for anyone who finds me wheel" scally "here you go where's me £50?" "in my pocket where it is staying. you're lucky i don't disembowel you with a wooden spoon, hold your intetines over your head and drown you in your own liquid turd you wee bastard. Oh and if anything happens to my car again that's exactly what i'll do. I don't care who it was, i'll come looking for you. So if you've got any sense, or you like walking and solid food for example, you'll make sure none of your wee mates touches my car either. We understand each other?" or words to that effect. m.

This just happened to me. Caught them driving off. I went to the coppers though and they said as it is a public access area then it is policed. His car and his insurance so it is officially an RTA. My problem was it was the passenger who let the door go so they weren't sure what the charge would be. Still he admitted it was his fault to the copper so it should be getting fixed. I have had two quotes, one for £193 and one for £250 to take the dent out and respray the door. The cheap garage say they can pull it out (not exactly deep) and the second want to remove the door and take all the electrics off. I'm waiting for the blokes prefered fixer to come and have a look though. m.

Sure the Escort Cosworth is actually a Sierra Cosworth chassis it only looks a bit like an Escort but has little resemblance to the car it is meant to be based on. Not sure if there is difference in top speed between the big and small turbo models. The rear wing makes tons of drag though and really slows the car a lot. Watched two identical cossies with and without wing set off side by side and the difference was huge. They do weigh so little but on the plus side, it'll probably get to about 120 and break down so beating the AA truck should be easy. m.

Sounds good 10 - 10:30 at Falkirk Wheel car park then. Shouldn't be too busy. If anyone wants to walk up and see the wheel they can. Route should take a couple of hours (touring not racing) but we can stop for pics in a couple of locations. Loch Katrine is a good one, there is a big car park so we can all get together, should be quiet too. There are also a few pull ins as we go through but it looks like we'll have a few too many cars for most of them. And of course there is the bacon roll stop we need to have. Back into Stirling for some scoff after the run then. Current planned route for those who want to look or have Tom Tom etc: Meet at Falkirk Wheel 23 miles from Glasgow 23 miles from Edinburgh so hurrah for that! http://www.thefalkirkwheel.co.uk/content/TFW_SubSection/index.asp?ID=21 Head off through Denny and follow the B818 through the Carron Vally, past the reservoir and up to Fintry. Turn off at Fintry onto B822 to Kippen Through Kippen and up to Thornhill. Turn left onto A873 towards Port of Menteith then follow A81 to Aberfoyle for a bacon roll From Aberfoyle follow A821 through Duke's Pass down to Loch Katrine (excellent bit of twisty road). Stay on that road through Brig O' Turk to the wonderfully named Killmahog (there is a pub here if anyone wants to stop but we'll have to see on numbers for their car park as it isn't huge). Turn right onto A84 through Callendar and back to Stirling. We can make it longer if necessary but that's not a bad loop. It'll be great as long as the weather holds off for us. Thoughts anyone? m.
