it was a manual gun. pushing the water out is the flaw with the pointing guns, you can add lime or a plasticiser but youl still have the same problem just not to the same extent. i cant for the lif of me remeber what the cement compound was called (it was 5 years ago i used it) but it was really good stuff. mixed just like mortar but there was no segregation what so ever when forced out of the gun. despite all of what ive said though i agree with jamie, you cant beat a trowel and a jointer when it comes to re/pointing

when sanding the wheels does it matter what motion you do? can you do it in a circular motion or should you stick with back and forth?

in all my years in construction there has only been one pointing gun that i thought anything of. this came with a special cement compound that you just added water to. there was no blockages or segregation in the gun and the cement could be pointed within 10mins of application. within 30mins it had gone off enough to clean the brickwork down. il have a quick google for it as i cant remember the name but i know it wasnt cheap either.

im hoping so. can that be checked just by taking the wheel off? im trying to get an idea as what to look for when i do it as i have no clue what so ever when it comes to technical stuff

sorry for the slight hi jack here, didnt really wanna start a new thread, but i also have a noise when i brake. completely different to this one. as soon as i engage the brake pedal theres a loud 'click' for a split second. sounds like its only coming from the front brakes. ny suggestions/ideas what it could be?

been around a few body shops to get quotes for the repairs to my passenger door and not really liking the idea of filling and spraying it, would much prefer a new door skin. a few of them are gona get back to me with quotes for it all but how much do door skins go for? and what would seem a fair price to supply, fit and spray a doorskin?

The way i had parked the car i assumed he had reversed into my bumper, but no, he had reversed into the passenger side of my car mangling the passenger door. Weve exchanged details and all that jazz and he wants me to get some quotes. I cant get to wound up as i know (hope) it can get sorted but its just extra hassle and time for me which at the moment is scarce as it is. Over and out.
