i know remaps on diesels get much better gains than their petrol counterparts but has anyone experienced a before and after remap on a petrol car? im tempted to have mine done but seem a bit sceptical about the power gains and noticeable difference.

my project manager has just bought one and ive been onto him about getting it remapped. very nice bits of kit.

after reading through the entire thread i can say that i am surprised at some of the comments from people, but then again maybe not. being labelled a cock for spraying a supra with spray cans? single handidly bringing down the price of supras? get a reality check guys ffs. all i can say is f$ck the haters and props to you for doing what your doing and i hope it turns out as you hope

we all like him its just that he doesnt socialise much with us all anymore. i would like to say that settling down has changed him but i cant see how it has as his misses is out all the time and is a complete extrovert, the complete opposite to him.

in 4 weeks ive gotta give a best mans speech in a mates wedding. the problem is that this guy is so boring theres not much ive gotta work with. considering there are some humourous people on here i was thinking we could have a brainstorming session and see what you lot can come up with. just a bit of background on the guy....he's 28, didnt even come on his own stag do to magaluf, shy, loves his ps3, would rather stay in playing his ps3 than have a night out on the piss, likes watching gore (crazyshit,theync etc etc) and in general just boring. i cant remember any situations where he has been involved where we've had a great time/good laugh so im struggling here. so feel free to fire some ideas my way guys in the form of opening lines and gags etc

i was very very tempted but the looks of the z4 won me over in the end. the z4 was also cheaper on insurance and got better mpg

i think the supra has much more road presence but theres no denying the z4 looks the part, more so from certain angles and especially with the top down.

here it is! [ATTACH]113148[/ATTACH] As you can see its a Z4. Its the 3.0l model with all the usual extras. I needed something quicker than my NA, more economical, soft top and newer and it was a toss up between the z4, s2000 or a boxter. The performance on it is more than enough for me and the handling is spot on. I thought the supra handled well but getting back into the supra for a drive a few weeks back was a real eye opener, it felt like a barge with a much to high driving position. On a motorway run taking it easy the trip computer was showing 39.2mpg, not bad for a 3litre 'sports' car. Ive taken out the foam bits that are found in the 'sound generator' (which was only fitted to the 3litre and above iirc) and its now sounding much more throaty above 4k revs. I was dubious about the purchase of a Z4 but so far i am more than pleased with it especially with the weather we've had lately:cool: p.s: the numberplate isnt a pathetic attempt at resembling 'ZED' (which many seem to think it tries) its the name that everyone that knows me calls me by after the pot noodle character ned noodle (i had a slight adiction to pot noodles when i was a kid)

when i first joined i was caught up in all the 'potential supra' ownership hype/excitment and then purchased one and was on here regularly as all i wanted to talk about and read about was supras. i was new so didnt want to cause or be part of any arguments so kept a lowish profile and was overly polite and thankfull for pretty much everything despite wanting to air my views numerous times but didnt as i had seen how others who did got shot down. That original enthusiasm lasted id say for the first 2 years then slowly started to wear off. During that time i would frequent other forums and also notice the difference in regards to personalities of the users, interests, forms of humour etc etc and realised (this is my own opinion btw) that this site seems to revolve around supras (obviously) and not upsetting the regs. If a newbie posted something with the smallest bit of text speak members would be down on them like a tonne of bricks, if newbies even think of answering back a reg then again they would be driven out or to the point where they end up getting banned for retaliating. Ive never insulted anyone on here, unless in retaliation, but have had numerous insults thrown at me just for having an opinion on a particular subject. That has been one of the most annoying things. This then caused me to use this site less and less and only really came on here to have debates about subjects that interested me albeit my views were always greeted with disgust and uproar. I no longer own a supra so dont use this site for that side of things anymore but still like having a read of various other threads, it kills time. However that pompousness is still there regarding a handfull of regs. Proof of this was clear when a member came to view my car (i will not mention who) and went on to say pretty much my excact views on the club so im obvioulsy not the only one to think this way. On a plus side though, for some of you, my membership runs out on the 26th and i wont be renewing it so you can all bask in the fact that il be gone soon. Ive tried to be as honest as i can in this post and havent posted it in the hope of annoying people or getting a response, its just my opinion which i have formed from my time on here.
