I'm off on hols on the 1st of may and not back till the end of the month - I know that a couple of the usual Millhouse attendees will be with us on holiday so unfortunately that's a couple more that can't make it. Hopefully will make a later one!

Bump! In case anyone wants to take half of these? Useful when diagnosing a missfire and one or two of yours have degraded! -

Usually it's only 1 of them that goes and buying a whole 2nd hand set will likely mean that you inherit another which may die in short order (or not if lucky!). Having a few around is all that is really necessary IMO so if you'd like to have a few spare in case you develop a missfire I'm happy to take 3 of them. As I said, really I only need 1 of these but I'll take 3 of them for £40 if anyone wanted the other 3? All assuming Richlift would be willing of course! -

Interested in coil packs as well as long as they are working an uncracked. RobAce obviously in there before me but don't know if he needs a full set - I really only need 1! Happy to go half each if you are only needing to replace 3 of yours for example? No worries if you need all of them - I'll bugger off! -
I bought a 5m roll and it did my downpipe and screamer down as far as needed but not all the way to the end of the downpipe. I found that it took way more than I thought as you have to overlap it by about 50%. Going back to maths 2 pi x radius of a 3" downpipe means that every wrap around the downpipe equals 9.5" of wrap so it's easy to see it mounts up quick. 5m did this for me:

It's a long shot but if anyone is within 1-1.5 hours of Bristol and has a divided T4 turbo gasket they want to sell this weekend (or know a company etc I can get one) please let me know. Really need to fit it this weekend if poss and cannot believe I forgot to get one when I knew I was going from non divided to divided!

941rwhp @ 30psi with Bullseye Power Billet S374 BatMoWheel

I just had the S362 delivered and I wondered what the 'batmowheel' thing was all about until I pulled it out of the box! So by what they are saying, although mine has a 62mm compressor wheel it should move a similar amount of air to a larger turbo such as a 65-66mm in my case? Hopefully by Wednesday I'll know -
I'd definitely recommend stretching to the 40D if you can now that I've seen the price HJM is selling his for I had the 450D a few years ago and upgraded to the 40D. Better sensor, noise levels were much more acceptable at higher ISOs as a result, battery lasts ages, bigger screen, live view, faster continuous shooting plus more that I probably take for granted now! If you think you have even a small chance of getting a little more hooked on photography it would be worth the extra few quid as you'll only want to upgrade later and if not, well you can sell it and get most of you money back again

Looks tidy I'd want a bit of pipe though to bring that air filter forward so it's not breathing in all that hot air from the viscous fan though

I bought the turbo as part of a bunch of items to get a deal although I really wanted the 6265 at the time for slightly more top end but stuck with it due the price. After fitting it all and then getting Ryan round to start it we noticed a noise so stopped the engine straight away to check everything. We couldn't find anything wrong until I took the feed off and the fitting out of the turbo where we found an airline fitting being used as an oil restrictor It probably would have been OK except the fitting was too long and had been fouling against the bearing/turbo shaft - how long for I don't know but there are wear marks on the fitting from where it had been touching. Obviously I'm now not happy with it running on the engine as with the speed it will be spinning on boost will probably see this thing lasting 5 minutes. Precision are a pain too as they will not sell their bespoke parts to local turbo rebuilders such as AET so a rebuild will involve me shipping the unit to the states. It should only require a new shaft and seals as the wheels, housings etc are all fine but I'm still worried at what Precision will want to charge me. Sh!t happens I suppose but on the bright size I'm getting the turbo I want as I've always felt that something between a 62mm and 67mm turbo would suit me in both power and spooling characteristics. ADD on this forum got decent numbers on stock cams with the S362 and hopefully with mine being billet I should spool sooner as the compressor wheel has 1 less blade reducing it's inertia a little.

lol didn't notice that! It's all connected at the moment however it's about to be partially dismantled again due to problems with/change of plans regarding the turbo. Got a BEP S362 Billet turbo with race cover/housing on it's way

Usually treat mine as a luxury but lately I've had to spend a little beyond my means to get it ready in time for summer. I've gotten real good at using a credit card lately! Paul Whiffin has most of my money now

Now I know who got the last one Paul had in stock Did you have a Nur spec before? I have just got my single running and it seems the manifold, turbo and cams have caused the volume of my nur spec to become anti social to say the least so I tried ordering one of these today. I want something that would still have the nice tone of a single but not be deafening - that is what I'm hoping for with the twin box version Paul does anyway. Any chance of a video once you have it fitted Add? I had a nightmare looking for vids of specific exhausts but did find Gaz6002 and Mark Newman have this one fitted to theirs - I'm surprised at how different they sound though on each others car - might have just been the camera I suppose.
-
I was wondering this as I couldn't see how this would stop the pulley/crank rotating whilst you try to undo the bolt - perhaps steviek can advise? EDIT: ^^ Robs tool looks nice and neat and I would certainly consider borrowing that. Anything to make a difficult job much easier!

Pretty sure they are separate fuses but no reason why 2 fuses can't be gone Stock j-spec's have no rear fog light so some people change one of their reverse lights in the rear cluster and put a fog light their instead but I suspect what has happened in your case is that the last owner had a bolt on fog light which he/she would bolt on to the rear of the car and temporarily connect it up for the MOT.

That's exactly what I assumed. The spark plug cover seal is the one that fits to the top of the front timing belt cover and is very obvious which one is which, but as for the cam cover seal, I think you could tell by looking at the curved part of the seal (the part that goes over the no 1 bearing cap on the intake side) as I'm sure it was just slightly larger. It's a snug fit though so I'm pretty sure you'll know if you try and insert the wrong seal into the intake cam cover

Same happened to my stock rear bumper and is quite common from what I've seen. I think as it's the base colour changing colour rather than the lacquer then machine polishing would have no effect unfortunately and even if it were the lacquer layer then you'd likely need to remove it all and re-lacquer rather than polish.
