1. 34 - Turbo Pressure Malfunction 42 - Speed Sensor Malfunction See these: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35920 and hopefully someone here can help with error 34 cause I ain't got a clue! But 42 was the same as mine, check wiring near odometer and around the speed delimiter.
2. Don't think it should be rpm you are worried about, I think its speed. This happenned to me every time I went over about 60-80mph for a few seconds and the engine warning light came on as well as the MIL light and woundn't go off untill I switched engine off and back on again. Also active spoiler wouln't automatically work too. I checked the error codes and it turned out to be error 42 - something to do with a speed sensor. Found out it was just 1 wire that had come lose. Best to check error codes, dead easy to do and gives you a clue where to check next.

Easy Crowd

Tell him that if he buys you a set of rear tyres you'll be happy to oblidge more often!
4. Just think, some pikey apprentice could be driving it round the yard right now... Only kidding, I hate it when someone else drives your car, especially if they look like they will rag the shit out of it as soon as they're out of sight.
5. lol class! Sent to various people in the office!
6. How much longer til you go turbo Dave? Finished collecting all the bits yet?
7. Mine too thought something was wrong with it! Why, when on the second turbo and you let of the throttle quickly do you only get a small short dump? If boosting hard on 2nd turbo I only get a large dump if I let off the throttle a bit gentler?

Dilemma ...

I think it all depends on the situation e.g. what the new job was worth. For example, I would never miss out on the opportunity for a much better paid job just to keep my previous employers happy. If the new employer is offering more money and better career prospects then I would say jump at the opportunity, you'll soon have a new reference from this new job if and when its needed. But only do this as a last resort. Better to do it right and not upset any company if you can.
10. The engine noise at 18k r/min is amazing!! Still need to go see F1 at some point in my life.
11. Too chavy??!! I know it has a fair share of saxos, fiesas etc but thats just because everyon is allowed in. There are a few chavy stands etc but there are also a lot of impressive and classic cars there too which brings it more than into balance. You get some amazing pieces of engineering there too - In 2003 the fastest car on the 1/4mile and 0-60 was a twin engined Nova! lol I know most people will say "Ohhh, only an idiot would spend that kind of money on a Nova" and I may agree to some extent but its not the point. The point is it was a very daring project and they managed to pull it off and it really makes motorsport that much more intersting. I will be there, especially if i get to see some of you more daring members have a shot at racing round Silverstone!
12. Would be good if we could. Last time I went was in 2003 and it was a good day. Lots of cars to look at, lots of stands and loads of people taking their pride and joy round the silverstone! Definately a lot more active than JAE as its all on 1 day.

auto gearbox

hbn: TRAITOR!!!! Only jokin, I still have yet to drive one and see the difference.
14. lol in Bristol I think you have sort of a 50:50 chance nowadays lol And that is in no way racist! Well done, how clever is she!!!?? lol Hope it gets her a great well paid job. I'm still waiting to find one myself!

auto gearbox

As you can see many people like it but I think this thread is a little biased Might be worth asking someone who has owned both as they might be able to highlight the reasons why they changed to a manual. You can then workout from there which you would think bests suits you as a driver. Either that or test drive a manual and an Auto - but having said that I think you have to drive with the Supras autobox for a week or so to truly learn it and get the most out of it.

auto gearbox

I was dissappointed that I couldn't afford a manual.... Until I drove my Automatic! Best autobox I have ever used, In fact, I am almost certain I would never bother selling up and going manual. Having a manual setting that allows you the 1st 3 gears is good enough. The only annoying thing with them is what other people say. I.E. "Wow! Is that your Supra?", "Oh but it's an automatic... I would never get a auto mate, bloody crap" That is until you take them out in it! Which reminds me, make sure you get leather seats
17. Hi Rich, can't remeber what subject you said she did? Did she do chemistry same as you? I know you said she was doing her masters. Andrew7: May have been my mates, mate. He has a black one with some 'bling' wheels on it but his drivings a bit nutsack so he lost the rear end and clipped his rear wing. Why are none of you there to say ello to me when I'm in Bristol??!! Haven't bumped into a single MkIV member yet!! Does everyone run and hide when I'm on the road (My drivings not that bad.. Honest!) Just tell me now if you all don't like me! lol
18. Ok he was black. Was a really nice guy, follwed him for a bit up the downs, he pulled over and we started chatting about Supras. Did it have gold and chome rims on it?
19. May have been me, was in and around Clifton for a few hours this evening unless the number plate was GIL *086 as that is a coloured guy who goes up clifton quite often, also Silver. What were you doing all the way in Bristol? (Says cornwall in your profile )
20. Would that be this Hotel? Thats on Hollywood Boulevard - the Walk of fame and opposite Chinese and Kodak Theatre! Went there in March and it was almost 30 degrees, stayed just around the corner in the Holiday Inn before setting off on a 2500 mile road trip! Must be roastin HOT there now!! Have fun in your mustang too, take it thats its convertible? If so then get posing down Long Beach!! Nice restaurant at long beach too, near Belmont Pier called 'The BBC' lol Have fun lucky sod!
21. I second this! Don't want to sound like a dustbin man when I reverse anymore!
22. Very nice, sounds remarkably like my Blitz - yours is much better fit though!
23. Nah mate, the dimmer only affects dials, odometer but does not affect heater control LED's etc
24. Yeah mate, since the dimmer knob is just a fancy variable resistor its resistance should change as you rotate the knob. You should have tried mine in your car mate while we were both at interpro! My dash was in pieces anyhow!
25. Nah mate, test it when its not connected as if a current flows through the meter when its set to measure resistance then you'll blow the meter. Put the testers red lead on one pin (on back of dimmer) and put the black lead on another pin while adjusting the knob on the dimmer. See if the resistance changes when you do it.
