  1. I don't think that will matter as I don't believe AEM made an NA specific AEM, plus the connectors I'm guessing will be the same, just a different map. Part number for the MKIV Supra TT AEM EMS is 30-1110 so you can ask anyone who has one to check the one they have
  2. Are the coil pack connectors definitely connected in correct order Dave? Plugs ok? I'm sure someone else might offer an explaination! I've got a few working coil packs at home and spark plugs at home if they are needed to test that is what's suspect. On a side note too mate, I've got your Caliper bolt to drop round.
  3. Yup, sorry didn't mean to sound like I was suggesting the AEM - Fcon might be better for your setup, but sig seems a great way to catch someone's eye if they were thinking of selling their unit. EDIT: just seen above post from Lee - I thought AEM+Auto was difficult to setup, perhaps it is not impossible I wanted either an AEM or Fcon as I'm desperate to realise any potential of this turbo - been stuck at 0.8bar for 6 weeks now and feels like an eternity!
  4. There seems to be a waiting list for these - Paul Whiffin put one up on the for sale section and it was nabbed in about 20 minutes flat and AFR have 3 people waiting for them :S Might be worth putting a wishlist in your sig. I managed to pick up and AEM EMS from ebay on Monday, but have since had another member PM'ing me offering me one as he saw my sig.
  5. Sounds like a dead battery to me If something is wrong with your charging circuit you would usually see the battery indicator light up in the car, but you can check anyway by reading the voltage of the battery - it should increase from 12 to ~14 volts whilst the the car is started & reved a little. A battery check is free in most places like halfords etc. so worth a check there maybe? Batteries can die quicker than you think too. I replaced mine 3 weeks ago as it seemed fine (was starting my car ok the day before) but then it refused to take charge. Was wierd since it had enough charge in the battery to start the car many times the day before, even with stop/start sort of runs so it pointed to the charging circuit/alternator suddenly failing, however the voltmeter test proved otherwise. Just to point out as well - this battery was less than 18 months old.
  6. Sorry all, I'm watching Dave having a go at the Weston Drift day on Saturday so won't be able to attend this one! Shame as I'm sure I haven't met some of you going this time! Perhaps see you at the next one!
  7. Congrats, have fun and safe driving mate!
  8. Mine stays locked, confused a few people in mine that has
  9. Nice car, and very vibrant colour! Welcome to the club and sorry to hear about your ordeal. Although it might pain you to do so, I would also be morbidly interested in seeing pics of the damage. Good luck with the restoration - it will be worth it
  10. Urgh tell me about it, what a downer that placed on that summer holiday! Anxious wasn't the word for it! Glad the waits over for you now and the results are all good. Now go out and celebrate!

  12. How do you access your hotmail account? Do you just use the hotmail website or have you got Outlook or some other mail client configured to do it? If so, viruses/malware can use mail clients to send mail on your behalf. Even if not, it may not actually be you that the email came from. It's pretty easy for anyone to send an email that looks like it came from you. Does seem very unlikely someone has hacked your hotmail account. If they knew your password then they'd lose access again as soon as you changed your password. EDIT: just saw edd_t's post and looked on google - seems like hotmail was heavily targetted in phishing scams last year - maybe thats happenned again.
  13. Hi there! Little old this thread but wondering if you still had this?
  14. Yay! Got mine, although it's a little too 4x4 then as that was before the teins were on!
  15. 10 days jail for putting your whole unit in danger - I think his comrades wouldn't feel that was too harsh when they think about how thow much danger they'd have been in if the only people to notice this post was the enemy. At least after 10 days he will hopefully think twice about what he puts on facebook! This might end up appearing on http://failbooking.com/
  16. Ah Steven Lynch!! My ex girlfriend introduced me to his stuff. There are loads more songs he's done and although they are funny if you just listen to them (can download his discography) it's much better if you can see him perform it! Plenty of playlists for him: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=search_playlists&search_query=Stephen+Lynch&uni=1 EDIT: Some of his vids are NSFW
  17. Brake cleaner may do - I'm not to sure if it is too harsh. Brake fluid will just make it harder to keep a hold of what you are working on
  18. Ha! Know what you mean. I play both Halo and COD, but you won't find me pogo'ing in COD! Looking forward to the Beta - got my 'ticket' ready to collect from ODST. Might be worth 1 month of Xbox Live Gold anyway. Liking the look of the different game modes!
  19. I took the plunge and went and did this when I first got the car as well as douing it recently for the 6 speed gear surround after my conversion. Seemed to have perfected my method as it was a lot quicker and easier the 2nd time round! Remove all rubber coating from panels Best way I found was to use a scouring pad (not brillo but the pads with much coarser strands) and hot soapy water. Rubber came clean off. Make sure it is all gone as any remaining will clog up wet and dry paper in next step. For any difficult areas I found acetone/nail varnish remover softened the rubber further. Note: Gloves may save your fingers here! . Rub down the plastic to a smooth keyed surface I worked from a fairly coarse grit wet and dry paper (120/200 Rub down to get rid of all the little scratches you might have created in step one) then I used progressively less coarse grit wet and dry such as 600 and 1200 grit for the smoothest. . Priming and Spraying Depending on what paint you will use you may need to prime the surface first. I used 5 wheels silver alloy wheel paint which did not require a primer. Just rub the primer down with 1200 grit once dry and before spraying. All in all I think you'll be needing scouring pads washing up liquid and possibly acetone your choice of paint, primer and laquer. patience, blood & sweat! Hope this helps!
  20. I must say a thank you to Luke at Sky insurance great customer service and good to talk to someone who knows what you are talking about when you mention single turbo! Unfortunately they could not beat Adrian Flux this time round : £661 to insure my single - all mods declared and like for like on everything, breakdown cover, european cover, lost/stolen key cover etc the lot - 27 years old, 7 years NCB. Some of the other quotes were Like being 17 again!
  21. Do you get it just when you come to a stop? I've always had that since a decat, all that unburnt fuel from exhaust catching up with you when you stop at a junction! Shouldn't get it on idle though, unless the wind is blowing from the back to the front of the car. Does the Supra have an activated carbon pollen filter? I've never checked or searched EDIT: Just found out they don't
