  1. Wow! Well not that suprised really - it's like numbers are pulled from a hat when it comes to insurance! Trying to find insurance on the single really made me feel 17 years old again, trying to frantically find someone to insure me on anything with a engine larger than a lawnmower! Try everyone! I did and eventually found the right one, but will have to go through it again at the end of the year no doubt.
  2. Was Adrian for me - shame as I really enjoyed speaking with Sky and they definately knew what I was talking about and in fact helped me reel off the list of modifications to my car. Adrian flux was a good couple of hundred quid less that everyone for me and offer like for like for any modifications I have made - not agreed value but is enough for me.
  3. Spoilerless wih veilside front?
  4. I'll have it - I need this as car is being tuned at AFR right now! If I pay now could you send 1st class to Matt @ AFR asap? Please PM me your paypal addy! Cheers. Lee.
  5. Flew to Newcastle for work today and was greeted by a tidy Supra in the car park - who was it? :search:
  6. one here - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=214500&highlight=aem That's about £1050 but has a lot of extras included that you may not need so might be worth seeing if the seller will split and give you a deal? (if you haven't already )
  7. Don't expect the weather to last - my Supra's in for mapping. Near enough a certainty that the weather will turn to sh!t the second I roll out of the garage! Weather on Saturday was great, weather like this really makes me appreciate the car and look past all the money I've spent on it! Welcome back and enjoy the aerotop you lucky b@stard!
  8. Indeed! I just got mine for that price without the MAP sensor and I was happy with that!
  9. I've yet to find one I like yet, and any that I have found I can't find any information on whether it will fit the shifter and still allow the lift up reverse to work ok! Think I'm going to just go and get a standard one but it's nearly 70 quid! I'll keep an eye on this thread in case anyone else has suggestions/pics of aftermarket ones that fitted theirs.
  10. You won't be able to tune that - that's why I'm stuck on 0.8bar at the moment as I have similar injectors The option you have are to use a piggy back such as e-manage, hks f-con etc or a standalone like the AEM you were originally going for. Not sure if either would be easier with the wiring however why was the wiring altered? The mines ECU should just be a factory ecu with only the innards changed slightly so should have bolted straight into the original loom?
  11. Yes I forgot to mention I have a big pervy lens ready for the action too
  12. Can I come? I want to sit in a bush again drinking coffee and touching myself to the sound of turbos and anti lag
  13. Do you know if the 95 octane unleaded in South Africa is in RON, MON etc? I think UK 98 Octane is in RON which is ~90 MON therefore 95 MON I would have thought would be over 100 RON Octane in UK? See if you can find out what system is used to measure the octane number in South Africa!
  14. With the MINES ecu running a more aggressive fuel and ignition map I would have thought it would be even less likely to run on 95 without det but in either case I wouldn't want to run a JDM Supra at 1.2bar on 95 octane even on stock ecu. All that hot air from those turbos running past their efficiency range plus the ambient air temp is SA probably being very warm already sounds like a recipe for det on stock ecu & BPU. I suspect if you use 95 you'll be restricted to stock boost levels unless you have the car mapped specially for a lower grade of fuel though I'm still learning so someone more experienced I'm sure can confirm for you.
  15. All depends on what you are willing to spend really? Also I'd rather have a second hand decent lens than a brand new budget one. How wide do you need the lens to go? 17/18mm is usually fine for fitting people in the frame from quite close. I have a Sigma 10-20mm but it's really not required for people shots, although you can get some interesting effects with it. It's going to prove really useful when I try to take a picture of the Milky Way with it when I go to the USA!
  16. That would be this I expect: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=211081 Probably a good job you weren't in though, they'd work you off your feet and Lee & Genna would have gone through your entire stock of chocolate ice cream
  17. Saw you coming across roundabout going toward M5. Waved but was in a BMW, just like every other company car probably there!
  18. Got it working in the end Unplugged a coil pack one at a time at found cylinder 6 wasn't firing. Turned out to be a dead plug in the end. I'll leave Dave to tell the tale of why his engine is out *again*
  19. Got no connectors left dude but as long as you make sure they are tight on the coilpacks then they shouldn't cause an issue on your driveway. I'll bring coilpack though!
