  1. Mine is the old 7th generation, (2003-2008), its a great workhorse. Got full leather, satnav, parking sensors, heated seats, etc etc. Very nice motorway mile muncher, very tall geared (6 sp manual). Big recent expense, dual mass flywheel, + clutch, total bill £700 (that is trade price), at 148k. Quick enough, I had it remapped to 180, as I tow my trackcar / trailer with it.
  2. lmfao. http://www.musclehorsepower.com/the-cheapest-racing-exhaust-in-the-world/#
  3. Do it. My mate is bringing his Mini also.
  4. Hi All Booked Oulton Park 13th October, first time out in the new kitcar (Locost with the MC750 control engine, 1.3 Ford X-Flow) Available here http://www.trackdays.co.uk/book/cartrackday/8707/ at £169, open pitlane 105DB Anyone else here up for this?
  5. I work in the tyre fitting trade, I have heard many similar stories, it happens so easily. Tyre fitters need no formal training, or qualifications, to go to work. The public is really at the mercy of them, and those who train, and supervise them. We have installed a system whereby the fitter signs the jobsheet, to say he has torqued the nuts, they are then checked by another fitter, and again signed. It puts around 2 minutes on the job, well worth it.
  6. I said this at the time; http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/33476414
  7. Looks great, and the OTT rear wing gets my vote!
  8. Just looked on Michelins system, they are available for 11th June. You should be able to order them from any Michelin direct dealer for then.
  9. I guess you have checked Michelin dealers to see if / when they are available? Let me know if not, I can check tomorrow.
  10. My wife has the 2009 1.5 model, not the sport. We paid 3k a year ago with 50 odd thousand miles on it. She likes it, but it feels cheap to me, no tangible problems, just has a budget car feel.
  11. Wow, I never knew there were any of those in the UK.
  12. Welcome. The Soarer looks nice. I used to have a dark blue one, lowered and with very dark tints (not my doing!). Anyway, my wife said I look like a pimp in it. Not too sure how she knows what a pimp looks like though!
  13. Managed to score a nice jolly, the other day, driving various Audis around the Stowe Circuit at Silverstone. I loved the R8, a very capable car, but far too much money. So defo a quicker track car than the one I already have, one with a big fat bike engine, or an Ariel.
  14. I bet I look the oldest, as I smoke a pipe, wear slippers, and drive a Honda Accord estate.
  15. If you do buy one, I have loads of wheels / tyres I need to shift, from my old track car.
  16. Saw a set for free on Facebook yesterday. IIRC it was the Hereford carboot group.
  17. That is a very thoughtful dog you have, my cats got me nowt!
  18. All looking great, how about that shakedown at Oulton Park 27th Jan?
  19. Hi all. Booked this, first time out in the Tiger. http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/trackday/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=947
  20. Love the Monaro, I had an Audi V8 a while ago, but it was just too damn civilised. I also have a Rev2 MR2 Turbo, as a track car, great fun, am off to the hallowed ground called Silverstone next week.
  21. Subscribed to this, in the vain hope that, if the Missus sees me looking at it enough times, I may be allowed to get one.
