  1. We had the Toyo H09 on our works sprinter vans last year, they were absolutely superb, with all the TC and stability controls on those vans, you could go anywhere.
  2. Yes, I have reconsidered, it is just too scary, it might give me nightmares!
  3. It is here in Town, sooo tempted to go have a look.
  4. Is no. 4 a Mk3 Supra?
  5. Compression problems in the RX8 are generally symptomised by an increasing reluctance to start when hot, so did your mate have such problems? If not I suspect it is not the engine failing. BTW you can get a set of genuine coils, plugs, and leads from a company in the states called Zapparts, they advertise on ebay. I paid £230 for mine.
  6. How about a Mitsubishi Legnum VR4? Its got 4wd, with very trick suspension. 2.5 TT V6, loads of room, and well within budget.
  7. Cheers all, Peter you have PM.
  8. Hi all. I am thinking of changing my RX8 for something else, and have been looking at the Toyota Altezza. I drove the UK IS200 a few years ago, but was very disappointed with the peformance, so am considering the more powerful JDM version. Has anyone here owned one, and can advise on anything to look for as a buyer, any weak points to consider? Also insurance, my current insurer (LV) will not transfer from my UK RX8 to an import, so what sort of premium can I expect to pay? (relatively, I am an old git, and pay £300 fully comp for the Rex, for me and the wife. Lastly what are they worth? I see them advertised at anything from 2k to 5k for a 1999 / 2000, are they really fetching 5k? Cheers
  9. Good luck with it, I have posted a link on the UK RX8 owners club for you.
  10. This is, in fact, a known psychological condition.............. Felisamourusitis.
  11. My brothers bike for sale; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HONDA-CBR-600-RR6-GENUINE-WORKS-MOVISTAR-RACE-REPLICA-/190539272163?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item2c5d068fe3
  12. Anyone got one surplus to requirements? DVD Recorder, preferably with own hard drive, easy to use, cheap as chips. Cheers
  13. I did not make it, it is my wedding anniversary, and the wife had other plans.
  14. I am surprised it has not gone, I have considered one of these, so often look at what is on sale. I guess it is a buyers market, but seems an ideal time of year to sell a desirable open topped car. I would be interested, but unfortunately silver is not for me. GLWS
  15. I now have them here, available for immediate despatch.
  16. Hi All I am expecting 2 x Japfest tickets through my letterbox any day now. As I cannot now go, they are for sale at £28 posted (or collected from Hereford) I can post them out by Wednesday latest, for you to get them Thursday. Cheers from Carl
  17. I work in the tyre and wheel trade, we have supplied and fitted many sets of wheels with these wobbly bolts, and I have never heard of a problem with them.
  18. Hi all. I have bought a set of oe alloys for my RX8, so that I can have them colour matched to the car (gunmetal grey). The car is off to the painters in a few weeks for a few small areas of bodywork, and I will get the painter to spray the wheels at the same time. They are already in pretty good condition, a small bit of pitting, I am going to prepare them for painting myself, just to be certain it is done thoroughly. One of them has quite a nick out of it, it is too deep to rub down, so I need to use filler, but the question is, do I use an ordinary body filler, or must I get something more specific to wheels? Cheers
  19. Have a look at http://www.hurleyrotary.com this company is mentioned a few times in the club, and seems to be getting good reports.
  20. Have a look on http://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk. You can get a rebuild with good warranty for about 2.5k. There do seem to be a lot of engine failures, I guess this keeps the value of this, otherwise great fun, car down. If not being a member inhibits your viewing of the club forums, give me a shout, as I am a full member.
  21. Not quite up there with the famous wetsuit, but still a giggle. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220768216260&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  22. He is interested to see pics, and is no connection to ET James. Can you email pics to [email protected] please. Cheers
