im going to try and build one, i always thought i lost some power with i fitted it because, i remember around 5000 rpm on the stadard air box the car would jump forward again when accelerating, since the new induction kit that jump has reduced... Adding new air feeds sounds like a good idea...should keep me occupied during the rest of the holidays.

Hmm i thought adding the an induction kit would increase the horsepower a bit..i put an apexi one on after reading good review...are people saying its a bad idea? I have seen some people build a casing around the induction kit, to shield it from the heat from the engine is that a good idea?

THORIN U ARE A KID MAN I swear i started a post asking what exhaust can get my car to sound like another car exhaust because i like it, and ur like a fly on shit... Ok spacers and archers sorry my mistake...shit i dont know my car inside out, shot me...thats why im on here asking whats possible... tell me what im bs'ing about?? Well I see why some of you are a bit mislead, you see down south in london around ace cafe and them places, what people to do small crap cars makes them seem alot more powerful than what they really are.. and yeah it wont sound as deep and violent as a supra, but they are buying the same exhaust and fitting them on so some notes sound similar...all i was asking if there was an exhaust systme that could make my supra sound similar to that of a capritso exhaust...whats the harm in that? So what if im tryna impress whats wrong, ill do that if i want, what if you have a problem dont reply here....all i was doing is asking for help and most people on here just reply sarcasticly... Like i said im going to do most work on my supra in a year...and no i dont know everything about them like im sure u all do...that why im on here asking people for tips and advice, and then i get 30 sumthing middle age men in a life crisis making sarcastic replies....jeeeez

hob your looking the MSc, im doing the Bsc design its 4 years sandwich....kingston uni is quite good for engineering one of the top in the country..

and i never said dump valves would work on a NA supra, and i heard spacers make the car better for drifting....try reading what i wrote..

Well i never said i could Easily get a rx7 or a skyline....but its not out of reach, you can do anything if u work... And Thorin if u had even half a brain cell and knew what university was you would know that you dont actually start studying about car parts and how they work until half way through the second year and 3rd...the supra is my first car, and iv only had my license for just over a year so i need more experience... Just finished 1st year at uni and was mostly mathes and science...and a bit of designing....My course is automotive engineering design...ya my friend is a mechanic for ferrari, top guy, and my friend who worked for mclaren studiyed automotive...i was saying that not to boast but because some people were laughing at the course and i coudnt understand why...

nah whats wrong with automotive engineering, my friend done it and he worked for mclaren...im going down the designpath tho... Im doing the 4 year sandwich course

Well it was a track that I made....i got to admit though the guy didnt know how to drive the 350z he looked a bit of a clown...he was so embarrsed though lol.... Im at kingston uni studying automotive engineering...any of u guys go there 2?

to be hounest visually i just need to get glass headlamps and fit an exhaust on it...maby do up the interior cas its a bit shabby and then id have a pretty much perfect crusing car....I mean its still very very very fast.....I beat a guy in a 350z round a track the opther day in shepeards bush

Ya thats what im going to have to do...but i like the car I have at the moment, i mean its still restricted and the engine is in good nic low milage, so it might be worth doing a clean instal on it... Ya I have a NA at the moment....I was thinking about getting a TT but its hard to get a oughuk spec one in good condition....although cleaning one up and making it crystal seems challenging..

whats wrong with that? That would look serious..if it was done properly...Y gotta go with the standard giant back box that everyone has...

Well I love cars yes....but what Iv heard from people the standard supra engine can take alot of hp, and is basically the same engine stripped as the TT, without the TT parts... I do have a "link" who does my work, he works for ferrari so i trust him...And its not something im going to rush into, i have a year before i want the work to start..i have a good 60k supra which is in good condition and well looked after... Well instead of getting the ferrari i could get a rx7 and skyline insured but there would be no point to be hounest, I love supras and that is enough for me..Owning the ferrari would be more of the look and sound...there are loads of supras that can take out a f355 easily!! Speaking of mods could you tell me what benifits/side affects wheel archers would have? Iv seen someon ebay, I like the idea of the wheels flaring out more at the rear and it said it makes it better for drifting..but im not sure..there must be a reason why they wernt fitted as standard..

im really looking forward te turbo conversion im going to do to my supra though, im going to save and do it in a year properly....

I might just buy a f355 and have it next to my supra, could call it husband and wife, and then when I buy a skyline and rx7 they can be the mistresses ;-)

thats what i want to do to my supra aswell. I was thinkin twin lifted tip chrome dtm style 2 on either side, would look so SIK!!

Ya I know that u can never have it to sound similar to a ferrari, but its that distinct sound of the f355 that I love so much..im sure there are nice exhaust systems that produces high pitched roars like a ferrari.. all the exhausts u see so many supras with sound no different that all these fools who tweak thier tiny novas and fiestas and saxos, onmly with more base and vibration...its not distinct....With the ferrari f355 u got the distinct note, iwas only wondering it there is any technoology that can recreate this.. AND NO I DONT HAVE A FERRARI BADGE to the muppet who asked me

Ok the mother of all questions What exhaust system can I buy that will make my supra NA sound like as close to a farrari as possible?

u NEED the wider tyres at the back, especially if you mod ur car and boost the power the wider the better, u have alot of power at you foot, the wider the tyres the better grip and control...U got 230 on a na at rwd...thats alot of power....320 + with turbo...

The silencer as part of the back box, restrics the air flow by using several pathways/carridgeways...by using a aftermarket backbox this restriction is lifted greatly allowing for greater throttle response and greater air flow (more power) This is what you are lacking, change the back box..

Im going to fit a tubro conversion soon...and i want to fit a 6 speed gearbox, but thats at a later date, would it be worth getting a manifold early? Also in realistic terms, how much bhp would I get but de cat ing my exhaust and getting a new exhaust?

also will dump valves do anything for a NON turbo?
