Ok so i need to change my oil!!! would I be able to top it up with the 10w oil or do i have to change the oil?
-
Hey I just read something down in the general forum, and the guy was saying his seal blow or something because of a grade of oil he was using...Im worried not because iv started using a different oil I thought if I just go and buy the best oil in halfords ill be ok...so I got CASTROL EDGE SPORT 0W-40, for high performance and modified modern vehicles .... Please tell me that oil is ok for my supra..? What is the best oil for the supra engine? that helps maintain performance and endurance etc?

its amazing what you can do on solidworks though...so detailed!! I rate kingston uni, if anyone is thinking about studying that course give kingston a look in, top teaching awards and very very good facilities...I mean they even own thier own PRIVATE JET for the aerospace students to play with, they have a lotus elise, some kit car and a few motorbikes...brand new computer facilities...its its own campus, great teachers aswell really help u as much as they can..
-
Thier making me learn solidworks at uni :-( but my m8t who worked for mclaren said thats what they used over there, however that was a few years ago...IM trying to find a Pirate copy as its so expensive to buy apparently...i need to do research.. Digsy the actual real stuff begins in the 2nd year..thats when its focused all on the automotive industry and you start doing advanced CAD projects and designing chassis or other car parts.....In the 3rd year you take that project to next level and actually build what you deisign in par with a company..I have been advised that you should choose a very good comapny to do your project on as it part reflects your ambitions and depth and can help you get a better job... There is a placement year aswell....you do that after the second year....you get to break down and reconstruct a lotus elise and then drive and test it, it belongs to the uni..i know some people who graduated a few years ago who build a kit car a chateram of something as part of thier project.. Im so looking forward the 3rd year... IMI i dont loose all the races u know....i won a few..i beat a 04 350z i a street race, absolutly CAINED him....i drew with a few rx7's, and iv beat a few new shape m3's to 60 (only beacause they coundt drive)...I hardly ever drag race now though...no point..i make use of the supras supreme handling advantage...its breathtaking at times...
-
the second year is going to be alot more interesting,,,,there actually going to teach me alot more about vehicles and project work.....the 1st year is mixed with people studying civil engineering and aerospace so its all very broad, i mean in the first semester i was studying different types of concrete :-| PORTLAND CEMENT MATE lol

yeap all of that stuff, integration, alot of calc, trig defren , to be hounest I hate the maths part of it so far because in the first year they dont really give you any practical use for it ...its just all theory and because of that I have to retake a coursework for it in the summer which im going to have fun with....science is ok, you do alot of experiments in the lab and that....pressure, force and all that stuff...i had to do a foundation course the year before aswell so the 1st year was a repeat for alot of things....the cad is hard though....i need to teach myself solidworks...
-
ya you have to have very very strong maths for automotive engineering...the 1st year is more theory, you do a bit of cad and design a car chassis but thats it , the second year is when u get to play about with a lotus elise and focus ona project

how much did u pick the car up for if you dont me asking? the other day bbc said it was going to be sunny so i spent 3 hours cleaning and waxing my car with canabau wax however u spell itt...and then what happens??? it rains... Thats my car after i waxed it...
-
OMG MATE U GOT THE SAME RIMS AS ME I THINK... that car looks so slick... thats mine hmm i think thier a lil different then
-
Ya i know what u mean, but to be hounest, i just got a bit exited really, i was down edgware road the other day...m8 im telling u it was porn...I saw a ferrari 360, a mclaren slr, a white murcealago with black rims, a gallardo convertable, a sl 500 and then a f355 f1 with a capritso exhaust that sounded better than them all....I saw a few skylines and a couple of supras to... Then the next day my mate who works for ferrari sent me a video of him test driving loads of ferraris and send me of a vid of him in a f355....in a tunnel to I then turn around to my supra and feel a lil um upset..wishing i had the money to do it up...but i have to wait ahhhg.. Then to top it off my m8t who went to uni and worked for mclaren sold his m3 to raise money to get a U guessed it Ferrari 430... But i swear to god i would choose the AB FLUG S900 Withthe 800bhp engine any day over any of them...its my fav car of all time, the first time i saw it i fell in love.. as they say all good things come to those who wait...im just looking for ways to speed up the waiting process...;-)
-
i understand the engine plays the main part, but never mind i didnt mean to offend anyone, The supra is my favorite car FULL STOP, I love it its my baby, no women can ever replace it...basically visually I want to do a chrome/black colour co-ordination through the car, inside and out, I have the chrome wheels which i guess are the main part and the chrome interior..need the chrome sidelights and glass headlights and exhaust then im done really.. BTW Bignum what was I saying that wasnt realistic?

lol i dunno why people are having a go at me, if it makes u happy richie rich i have 3 jobs, i work for axa insurance in the breakdown department (oh yeah and for record NO ONE HAS EVER REPORTED A SUPRA BREAKING DOWN ; I DID HAVE ONE CUSTOMER WHO PUT DIESEL IN A SKYLINE R34 THOUGH!!), a sales assistant an i own my own business ( http://www.futureofsales.com ) ...ifall goes well by next year im hoping to clear all debt and be able to really do up my car properly.... OK ill be hounest, RICHIE, Thorn, and everyone else who has been taking the piss out of me on here, ill tell why im so eager to pick anything to make my car go faster.... I have a NON turbo supra...and yes nobody buys a supra to go slowly...and yes i have had many drags...agaisnt 350z's, ferrari 360, rx7. murcealago, gallardo, other supras and many many other hot cars...and I lost most of the races knowing that if i had a twin turbo i could have won....its not a nice feeling...Especially when you find yourself having a edgy time racing ford cosworth or a grandpa in his e220 merc....right now i cant afford a twin turbo, so thats why im tryna find out everything i can do to speed my car up as it is and make it more agile...I know that most of the things i have asked about will be benificial when i have a TT, but i kind of want to know if any will help me before. Generally what i have been told is the following to increase performance..: New exhaust system (de cat) Induction Kit (although people have told me differently) Struts (for handling) And putting my car on a diet...weight loss.. yea hob, on a j spec it might be hard getting insurance, but on a Uk spec TT its cheaper to insure me than my NON turbo j spec.....but if i got the car for cheap from japan it might be worth the extra money...bonzai cars are meant to do good imports, but if i went over to japan maby could pick something better up first hand...

i swear alex whats wrong with u....i dont get it? is it a sin to ask questions? ur so stupid like i said im doing the design side of things....automotive engineering has not alot to do with being a physical mechanic...we do the designing and testing etc...and then the mechanics put it together... I really dont know what alex is have a pansy attack for...
-
ahhh man i cant listen to it at the moment im at work and it wont let me open it up :-( ... do you have any more sites that have audio clips
-
I dont want to give his name because he does not work thier anymore and its his personal reasons why.., he runs his own business now in central london...hes alot older than i am hes 29 im 22...I used him as an example as to what job opportunities are available after doing the course because people were laughing at it for some reason....before working for mclaren he worked for ford....Its not a big thing...if you get a 1st in automotive engineering and do a good project in your 3rd year you are pretty much on the right track...oh ya i forgot he done a masters to which helps and he didnt walk into mclaren, started at ford first... kingston is in the top 10 unis for engineering, so thier are alot of people with hot jobs...
