  1. I have haerd some people building housing around the induction kit to feed in more ambient air..
  2. What do you mean you lose ambient air from outside the car, someone explain please?
  3. Oh yeah, your going to forfit nice FREEZING cold air into your induction kit aswell by storing it...
  4. drove it in winter last year no problemo, Just rinse it down a few times after it gets dirty and that...
  5. I want I want I want I want I want I want MEGA BUMP
  6. theres hundreds of supras, both NA and TT comming over from japan every week or so, Im sure you can pick up a second hand engine for fairly cheap..
  7. Man I hope you get it sorted m8, its not a pretty site, but atleast the lights and and radiator look to be ok.. didnt the abs stop the car from sliding?
  8. Tyres, change them from your cheapo Kingstar to something decent from the best any one of these have to offer, Michelin, bridgestone, pirelli, goodyear, ull notice a bigggg difference, wet traction will improve dramatically,
  9. They cant take your car away just because its not on thier system...They have to prove you are not insured, an insurance certificate PROVES that you are as long as its legit.., if they dont want to accept that its thier problem.. The most they could ask you to do is a producer.
  10. you could probs fine tune a more define exhaust note...
  11. University , to be hounest he didnt go into detail, but he never said BIG gains, but he was quite sure about it being possible on cars, superchipping or remappiing, more aggressive timings, could get 10bhp, I dunno, im going to ask him again and make him go into more detail as it is confusing me
  12. yeap 100% insured....I could not believe it, I had to keep asking the guy to go through all the details, I thought maby they did not realise its a Import of something, but then when the paperwork came through it said import on it What made the difference is that I own another car which I use more often....this by itself more of less dramatically dropped the price...I am also insured on another vehicle in the household..so including the supra I am fully comp insured to drive 3 vehicles...
  13. Hi I was having a talk with my automotive teacher and what ways to improve performance on my car...he suggested supperchipping/remapping of the ECU as being a great and cost efficient way of gaining decent power.. I have heard alot of people on here saying this wont do anything for a N/A....Why is this??/ would superchipping a N/A give any power gains?, if so has anyone got any proof as to how much can be gained? thanks
  14. Elephant....its all about the big nose man, elephant done wonders for me on insurance....my reknewal (spelling) was £2300, elephant insured me for £800 , although it is a N/A I presume a TT would be maby £300-500 more?
  15. Yeah I know, but im just saying would it restrict of reduce air flow/performance? or am I just being stupid, and yes I would cream it if I ever saw that car on the road, Iv never heard an RsR but could imagine to xs - powers and boooooy that would be HOT HOT HOT
  16. If the pipes are all bent and twisted wont that change the exhaust flow?
  17. go for a renault megane, i picked up my mates for £500, 80000 o nthe clock, grweat run around cheap on petrol and everything, autotrader should have loads, +++ its a great chics car...
  18. Hi I had the EXACT same problem about a month ago when I went to get my MOT done..You have to replace the whole arm, my local toyota dealer quoted £200, picked it up from a Jezzy (trader) on here 2nd hand for £40 , got it fitted for £40 ,about 45 min labour, The ball joint and arm are all one piece of metal, you have to replace the whole thing.. Take a look at this thread when I had the problem..: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=84928 Hope it helps
  19. So if you had an NA for examply, would you have to buy the TT shortblock and then find a second hand TT upper part of the engine? If that makes sense heh
