Same thing, but they are using the wrong off/of whilst butchering the english language at the same time. So it ends up making no sense whatsoever! You can usually make one grammatical error and get away with it, but make two in the same sentence and it's a bit difficult to decipher what you're trying to say. I love whisky, makes me get dead opinionated, and pedantic.

It's just I'd understand if it was a complex word, but one's three letters long and the others two!

Should you want to take something 'off' something then you would type it thus:- "I lifted my pint off the bar" Should you want to use t'other one then the following would be the correct spelling and grammatical context:- "I am a member of the mkiv Supra Owners Club" Pet gripe!

Concrete will go off (go hard) under water, so it won't have been the rain. How old was the cement you used? How well did you mix it before adding the water? The mix you used was very cement-rich (usually you'd use something like a 5:1 mix for something like that. So there might be some problems with the hydration time because of that.

The heaters go hot and cold as normal (as far as I can remember)! Where is the thermostat on the TT engine? Is it easy to get at? How would I go about checking whether it was operating correctly?

Bumpy Anyone?

Hi all, For a couple of weeks now I've been noticing that the temp gauge has been slow to get up to normal running temp. I've just been out for a good 10mile run and all the way back the needle has been at around 1/5th of the way up the gauge as opposed to its normal 'just under half'. Every now and again it would twitch back up to where it should be then drop down again. When I got back I whipped the dash off and checked there wasn't any loose connections (which I couldn't see any). And after refitting the dash I turned the ignition on (without starting the engine) and the gauge was reading fine. I started the engine and revved it a bit and the needle started moving down slowly. Once I revved it over 4k it dropped sharply to the 1/5th of the way up again and stayed there. I turned off the engine for a bit and repeated this again and exactly the same happened! Any one got any ideas as to what could be wrong? There are no warning lights coming on or anything! Thanks Rob...

Cheers for that mate, I've just spoken with him this morning and he seems to think hes cured the play, roadtesting it today so I'll keep you informed! Thanks.

Any update on this mate? My mechanic says its definitely the rack thats got play in it - could you give me an idea on price?

Hmm, I had heard something about that. Bugger.

A workmate of mine is having problems, it seems that the battery has run out in the fob but I cant for the life of me get into it (or her pants for that matter!! - joke) without using a some form of birmingham spanner! She's been to the local BMW garage (who are well known for being t***s) and they told her it was a sealed unit and she'd have to buy a new 'un, £100 plus whatever it costs to program it. Surely a car manufacturer would not be so short sighted as to produce a key fob powered by a battery where you cant get at the battery to change it! Anybody know??

Hey Jezz, How much for a steering rack and rods? Are the TT and N/A ones the same? Don't exactly know whether its the rack or the rods at the minute, so could you break the price up between the two of them please. Taaaaaa.
