  1. I have found though that many of the architects plans have to be altered when the design calcs have to be done, simply due to the architect not having much of a clue when it comes to structural design. They also draw the job out (if you pardon the pun) for much longer than necessary to provide a reason for their inflated fees. Oh, and it's usually a 'local guy' that is commissioned by said architects to do the calcs as they're cheap, and quick! Just my thruppennies worth.
  2. I'm a Civil Engineer and I do house renovation/extension/new build calcs and drawings as a side line. I've done quite a few now. Ask away.
  3. Racist.....................expected, I know.
  4. Here is an idea instead of buying 'the horde' Break your arm........thats it.
  5. He's a mong that lad, how how how how how does hedo the things he does! I mean, I'm good, but he's summat else!!!!
  6. Conversely to that, have you ever watched the english dub version of Ong-Bak? Now that makes a martial arts spectacular into an enjoyable, nay, outstandingly funny film!
  7. I think he's just picking on the Welsh! Just 'cos we give pleasure before we slaughter! Tut

  9. Yeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!! Still angry about buying a (what appeared to be good) zombie flick and finding out it was blooody French though!!!!
  10. A thousand apologies o Wise One, I assumed my ingenious insertion of an asterisk would fool you! Face - Egg - Egg - Face
  11. Has anybody, please, ever had, please, the unfortune to buy a dvd that they were really looking forward to and discovered, please, that it was foreign and subtitled??!!? Do you not, and I hope no one takes offence to this, please, think that it would be a good idea to have the linguistics of said film made clear, please, on the front cover so that potential purchasers are not misled? I hope that whichever Moderator God I angered with my last thread will allow this through their sensebility filter and I pray they do not, in their Ultimate Wisdom and Undeniable Omnipresence delete this one!
  12. Bonjour! Bit of a long shot, but has any body changed the above? The problem I've got is with a clamp which holds the rear handbrake cable to the chassis about half way along the cable. This clamp is bolted to the inside face of the chassis with a 10mm bolt (into what I can onlyl assume is a captive nut on the inside of the chassis box section) just infront of the off side rear wheel. It's near impossible to get a 12mm ring spanner, and totally impossible to get a socket on to the bugger as the fuel tank is only 50mm (ish) away from it. I could do without dropping the fuel tank to get at it to be honest. Have any of you had any experience of this? Is there any trick to getting this bolt out without uber spannering? As always, any help is greatly appreciated! Rob...
  13. I've always found that 12v are bang on for doing a lot of driving but run out of puff a bit quick if you're drilling a fair amount. 18v is a bit heavy and can be a bit too harsh for screwing, end up rounding the screw heads even with the torque setting turned doon! S'why I generally plump for 14.4.
  14. Go DeWalt mate....... Especially for that price, AND its a Li-Ion battery. Apparantly Makita is the only other affordable make to beat em. I've got both makes and theres very little between them IMO. All the other makes I've had tend to wear out a bit quick if you give 'em a bit of teddy like!
  15. You should be able to get the code from VW by telling them the VIN No or Chassis No or something like that. As long as its the original that came withthe car that is!
  16. Jeebus, I'm sure pulling my leg would get you a real handfull!
