Sorry for th thread hi-jack. Where did you get your new spring platforms / locking rings from? I've got the same issue on mine.

I guess not. I'd have thought they'd have put some sales type bollox out like enhanced lubrication properties / longer life etc.

Did a quick change (~2 litres) on the auto 'box over the weekend. I used Toyota T IV fluid (thanks Terminator) as recommended by people on here. On the stick (the blade and the handle) and in the manual I have it states T II fluid. What's the logic behind the 'only use TIV fluid' advice, when Toyota appear to have been happy with T II?

Had a similar experience when I bought my bike. I bought it off ebay from a dealer in Florida, then a few weeks later some scammer had it up for sale again on ebay using the same picture as the guy who sold it to me (obvious, as the dealer's sign was in the background)!! Seen loads for sale on a "send me the money and I'll send you the bike" basis. Yeah, right.....

For all that, I still do the same things and feel no more safe or unsafe than I have throughout my life. So, nothing's change for me. If you've nothing to hide you've nothing to fear.

The way I see it, this could be - 1/ Complete fabrication, to take the heat off Blair (we'll never know, will we?) 2/ Complete fabrication to allow the furtherance of a British police state. People have been saying we're heading for a police atate for 40 years. Apart from the plethora of speed cameras, I don't feel my life has changed. 3/ A fair reaction based on inteligence. If the inteligence is incorrect, so be it, everyone makes mistakes. Did't intel from the Pakistan authorities trigger this (I may be wrong on this)? 4/ A fair rection based on accurate inteligence, in which case charges will be brought when all the evidence is gathered. I wouldn't expect the authorities to declare their hand if a) they are still collecting evidence or b) they are spreading the net further to catch more potential terrorists. I'd expect things to become clearer in the next few weeks.

You'll get better help than this as more people wake up, I'm sure. My advice, just to keep you busy? Get it jacked up now, support it with stands. Get underneath and have a look for anything obviously broken / loose. I'm guessing that the problem will not be too difficult to spot. Hope it's not too expensive to fix mate.

Poor riding. Plain and simple. I can understand the people in the vehicle not wanting to stop and risk getting blamed for an accident they had virtually nothig to do with.

Sorry mate, but it doesn't answer the question. I've no idea what ride height these cars are running and can only guess what their clearance is. Can you measure from a comon fixing point to the lower lip then compare this to a standard bumper? Sorry for being a pain, but I can't shell £100's out on an estimate based on photo's.
