  1. P1sses me off that I have to tax the 405 and the Supra even though I can only drive one or the other at any one time. On a brighter note, just paid the road tax on my wife's Clio -- £35 for 12 months. I don't bother with taxing the bike (track only).
  2. Does £40m guarantee staying up:)
  3. Wonder how we (WBA) will get on next year? 17th will do me.
  4. I'm not sure. Check out the inlet / outlet connections to the cooler in the pic on this thread http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=65231&highlight=tranny and trace them back to the box. Please post your findings for future reference:D
  5. Just found this, take a look at page 6 - http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h16.pdf Looks like the limit is somewhere between 122 and 162F (50 and 72C), although like Paul I'm sure mine will switch lower than this.
  6. Have a look at the discs I dropped off with you. You'll see the tapped holes clear enough, as I used them to get the discs off my car. Wind the bolts in alternately, half a turn at a time, to pull the disc off squarely. I managed to go straight in with the bolt rather than have to clean the threads with a tap. Use a flat bottomed tap, as a tappered tap might bottom out before engaging fully with the thread.
  7. No fan currently. I've got a track evening at Snett in June, so I'll see how the temps go and make a decision after that. I'll try to remember to check this (been meaning to do it for ages).
  8. Fittings and hose (3/8" or 10mm ID) from your local hydraulic specialist. Passenger side's a good place for the cooler, but you'll need to make brackets to mount it. I've not seen a guide, but it's quite straight forward (IMO). a/ mount and duct the cooler b/ connect the hoses (make sure there are no sharp edges fouling the hose which will cut through in due course) c/ check & top up the ATF
  9. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=142405&highlight=baffle I think it would work and asked the same question a while ago.
  10. Just thought I'd add some more info - After 3 consecutive laps of the Ring the temp was 95C. Cruising back to Calais at 110-120mph it was steady at 70C. Weather ~ 18C and dry. This is measured in the return line, post the stock and aftermarket coolers.
  11. Heretic!!! Burn him for bursting the marketing bubble!
  12. I went to the Ring a long weekend a couple of weeks back. The money I used in fuel for the Supra would have kept my daily driver in veggie oil going to work and back for 9 months. My advice? Enjoy these cars now, because in a 'few' years we'll all be driving electric / hybrid cr@p. Cheap and eco concious, but with no soul. We'll only have the memories to live on...........
  13. So you're the other one then? How do you feel we'll get on in the PL against all those 'foreign' teams?
  14. The water does indeed go straight down.
  15. How embarrassing is that for the prostitutes? Being caught with him.
  16. I've got a spare pair of Tein 'C' spanners somwhere in the garage. I'll have a dig round.
  17. Sold, sorry mate. Dropping them at Homer's this afternoon.
  18. No mate, stock bodywork with an FMIC wedged behind it.
  19. Black, with NL plates, parked by the bridge where the Ring crosses the road at Adenau. Anyone here?
  20. I've just returned from a visit to the 'Ring. Before going I fitted new stock UK discs, callipers & pads, Goodridge lines, 5.1 fluid and some cooling ducting. 1100 miles, mainly 3 figure Autobahn speeds there and back (+ 5 laps). No issues (appart from loads of dust!). I agree with Thorin.
  21. :)Track only GSXR1000 - mucho fun. Riding on the road is too mundane, dangerous and the roads are too well camera'd (nearly said policed then....) for my liking.
  22. For the regulars - assuming your 'normal' insurance excludes use at the 'Ring, do you take out additional insurance to cover you, if so, who with? As it's subject to 'normal' road law, I guess you could get done by the German police for driving while uninsured if your UK policy doesn't cover you?
  23. Imagine walking home p1ssed after a night on the lash:d
  24. bmx1lew do you want front or rear callipers? If you've changed your mind please let me know. Homer, if Lew doesn't want them, do you want the full kit?
