  1. More info which may be of use. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=18157&highlight=WHEELS+BRAKES&page=2
  2. Tragic. Only just seen this as I've been away all weekend. RIP mate.
  3. Nice one. Never been to Silverstone in the car, but going through Beckets, throwing it from side to side on a bike, is fantastic. I'm up at Snetterton this evening.
  4. 8p a litre in the middle east but they're p1ssed off because it's only 1.5p a litre in Venezuela. Full tank for less than a quid.......
  5. Take the offer, quick. Next week it'll be worth even less!!

    I'm done.

A bad day for the rest of us 'learners' I reckon!! Thanks for all your technical input Ian, it'll be missed in future, along with the added wit.
  7. I've yet to own a cat that hasn't used furniture as a scratch post. Don't have one if you've got expensive furniture. Also be prepared for the headless birds, dead mice etc that the cat likes to bring home.
  8. I doubt many people go to the expense of a cage for a road car. Helmets have been compulsory at the track days I've been to.
  9. Above 80C to help get rid of any condensation build up. A good synthetic oil will deal with temps up to 150C, although a more normal operating band is between 90C - 120C.
  10. Have you never watched any racing or rallying on the box when a car has crashed and rolled?? It's plain to see how the cars stand up. Without a cage they'd be flat.
  11. This might make you feel a bit better. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=91460&highlight=total I see just under 120C on a track day. That's with the standard cooling oil set-up.
  12. Check over the last few cold starts. Mine drops into o/d at an indicated 30C (top hose water temp).
  13. I use these people for this sort of stuff. http://www.walker-rubber.co.uk/s44/Ipswich-Sales-&-Fabrication.html

    God

Have we got to go down to the woods for it? Today??
  15. I'll have to wait for another 10 year old import I guess.
  16. Price tags north of £50k make me loose interest pretty quickly.
  17. If you're after a simple plastic reducing connector for joining two tubes?? Our local motor spares place has them, I've seen them in B&Q (not dead sure about that size though), Halfrauds do a 'selection box' of connectors, but again not sure on the sizes. Your local aquatics suppliers (aeration equipement) or garden center (irrigation equipment) may have something. That's it off the top of my head. Failing that, tell me the exact size and I'll see what I've got lying about in the garage.
  18. This might be of use (post #60) http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=18157&highlight=wheels&page=2
  19. Where is the sensor positioned and did you check the gauge for accuracy before you fitted it?
  20. You can trim the shield arround the caliper mounting points with tin snips, then just bend the shield back a few mm to clear the bigger discs.
  21. I bought a new one - £25 from Toyota just for info.
  22. Chelsea win please. I'm surrounded by Manure 'fans' at work, none of whom have ever been within 150 miles of Manchester. Conversely, the only Chelsea fan I know has supported them all his life (even when they were sh1t). Also, I find it quite funny when rich clubs moan about other clubs becoming even more rich.
  23. What's this, A level fluid dynamics? Can you do a schematic layout to make it easiier to understand? The black cap on the sandwich plate holds the spring and thermostatic valve in place. Not sure on replacements but Thinkauto might help - http://www.thinkauto.com.:)
  24. My other half has an '05 Clio 1.5 Turbo Diesel - £35 tax, 65mpg. Goes well, towed 2 bikes on a trailer to the Ring and did 2 laps while there. Gave 50mpg towing the bikes at a steady 80mph too.
