  1. First dibbs on door cards and dash panels please. Any factory car mats? What is the condition of the boot carpet? Can you send me some pictures?
  2. Are the dial faces metal monkey type ones or are they printed like the OEM ones. I would really like a newer set of dial faces but I don't rate Metal monkey ones. I've had a few sets and they never look right. I'd love to get some made like the OEM ones.
  3. Amp yes (I could be wrong on this point as I have never owned a Supra that hadn't already had the stock sound system removed), sub no. Amp is under the passengers seat. Sub, if fitted is in the boot behind the rear seats. If your car has the sub you will see it protruding from the boot carpet against the back of the rear seats.
  4. 1050nm of torque That's got to peel your skin from your face.
  5. Now that I like the idea of. I love the thought of utilising redundant stock switches. The only aftermarket thing I want in the cockpit on show is the Toucan. This sounds like a great way of dealing with the traction control cal switch.
  6. What an attention seeker. There I was, all built up for a gruesome crash story and instead it's your birthday. I know which one would be more interesting Belated birthday wishes. Did you get anything nice?
  7. Welcome Daniel. Are those factory decals down the side of the car? I know they did some. Never seen those ones before though.
  8. Personally I would tell him to go for the 350z. If this will be his main car the fact that the 350z is newer would be a primary consideration. As a member surprisingly I am generally biased towards the Supra, but let's not forget is an ageing car with depleting parts supplies, and can be expensive to run. The 350z will still be nice and modern, good build quality, ready supply of OEM parts and would probably be a better buy for a young driver. I would also think the insurnace would be cheaper?
  9. Yep. Impatience got the better of you there. At 1.30 am you should have simply called it quits. How many windings do you think there are on the transformer?
  10. Long live the Queen. She will never abdicate. She will rule until the end.
  11. That is looking very nice indeed. Sooooo shiney.
  12. She is a fair weather queen to be honest. I've not used her much as we're looking to move at the moment and time has been taken up with decorating, viewing etc. Hindhead tunnel run sounds like a plan. You're more than welcome for a ride in my car. It's quite an experience over BPU. I may have bought a few more things too;) All parts a stored away ready for the shell rebuild. I think I have another big order building. Looking to replace all subframe bushes as part of the strip down. If they are still available!
  13. Congrats on the new purchase Scott. I'll have to pop over with mine at some point to have nose around at it.
  14. Good progress with this build. Going back to a stock body was a very sound idea. The car looks lovely.
  15. V band waste gate fitting is a good thing. I'm running a cast manifold and have no complaints thus far.
  16. It would be better if the toucan could control both traction and boost map independently like the cal switches. Having a predefined traction function set per boost map could end up being a real kill joy.
  17. Only ever owned manual Supras. Both V160 boxes. One BPU and the current one a single turbo. I find low speed gearing a pain. Slow moving traffic is a pain. But for interactive spirited driving the manual is a winner. I have driven my friends UK auto TT and I really enjoyed it. It pulled hard on kick down and was definately a better daily driver. I always go for manual because they are more desirable and have a better resale value and can handle higher power (so one less thing to worry about when modding the car). If neither of these are an issue for you then an auto is a more than adequate car. I don't think you would be disappointed.
  18. So you can't control traction modes via the Toucan? You have to keep the cal switch? I'm looking to get a Toucan to replace both the cal switches. But it would appear it can only replace the boost cal switch.
  19. I can't believe that the hockey sticks are still up for grabs. This is a considerable saving over new from Toyota. I paid approx £260 for all four of these with Steve Manley discount not to long ago. Much better than sticking a knackered second hand set on the car.

Hi Mary. Do you currently own a Supra?
  21. Alternatively this might be a prime opportunity to fit a set of UK spec brakes. Funds and resource dependant. From my experience once the slider pins start to stick the caliper is generally on its last legs.
  22. Steve is your man. You won't get any of the regular dealer rubbish from him.
  23. Also got a HCB005 from local Halfords. £79.99. I need to get a UK Spec battery clamp now.
