  1. Could also be that the rubber seals are getting old and are no longer forming a seal. The door glass can be adjusted to compensate for the compaction of the door rubbers.
  2. Sounds like the internal nylon teeth on the mast may be past their best. Might be worth removing the unit and having a look inside to see if it's the teeth on the lower end of the mast or the gearing of the motor itself or a lack of grease. New masts can be purchased new from Mr T quite easily. If you need one give Steve Manley a bell, or Paul Whiffin on here does toyota parts.
  3. I think psychology and stress have a part to play, but there must be something underlying for this to happen. I have had this in the past too. Numerous tests completed but nothing. When I joined the RAF and did my aircrew medical they found an irregularity in my heartbeat, but clearly it wasn't significant as I passed my pilot medical. I do find if I'm stressed now I get a pressure in my chest and my heartbeat is very pronounced. If I fixate on it I find it gets worse. I just try to chill out relax and take my mind off it. If in doubt get it checked out.
  4. Not my cup of tea. Far to fussy and messed about with. Looks like someone has had a field day and Demon Tweeks. I don't get the engine replacement thing either.
  5. Clean white TRD bonnet all the way.
  6. Not at the moment. Just moving house at the minute which is slowly killing me.
  7. Sorry for the tread hijack but does the heat gun trick work on most plastics? Have you any examples of the results?
  8. I know virtually nothing about this but Lee installed a Toucan in my car the week before last. Whilst the car is warming up it goes into limp mode. Once the engine is up to running temps limp mode switches off. Are you looking at the car whilst it is cold?
  9. I think the there would be a reasonable demand for a Getrag refurb facility in Europe. It seems like Jacks Transmissions are the only reliable source globally at the moment.
  10. Longer term I would be interested in this. Not having to send something half way round the world would be a blessing.
  11. I've got a box but still need a loom and strap. Happy to consider a complete set still. Please guys, someone with an aftermarket alarm must be willing to let this go. It's sitting there doing nothing.
  12. Hi Jon. I wouldn't think twice about it. Once you start looking deeper at the car you will find numerous hand written markings on the back of numerous components. The interior trim is riddled in them. I assume car fax is the US version of an HPI check over here in blighty? If so this is as best you can get to checking accident damage unless it's obvious elsewhere on the car. It could be possible that it's had a replacement subframe in the past, either as a result of damage or just wear and tear. Ultimately it will be a judgement call for yourself. As long as it runs, drives and has no obvious signs of damage I wouldn't be too concerned. Best of luck with finding a Supra.
  13. As in the first picture in this post. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?152271-Electrical-box-under-drivers-seat
  14. Replied. - - - Updated - - - If anyone else has one please let me know.
  15. Keron, do you have any of the factor central locking boxes. Black box that is found under the drivers seat with a loom running up to the dash? Do you also have any illuminated drivers side key locks?
  16. With the amount of aftermarket alarms out there someone must have one of these kicking about?
  17. Not my cup of tea especially on a street car. If it were a track based vehicle it might get away with it. The biggest problem is that it looks such poor quality.
  18. In short is it nessessary, probably not. However, given your previous experience coupled with the outlay on your power upgrades I would most definately consider it a component of modifying the car. I'm running around 600 bhp on mine and I have upgraded to a billet tensioner bracket. Small price to pay vs the consequences of it failing on a spirited drive.
