A little video of the car once sanded back. VID-20231130-WA0015.mp4 Then a few images of the front offside wing once polished.

So the insanity levels of detail being applied to the paint on my car continue. Following the paint, Kane has now sanded the car with 1200, 1500, 2000 and then 3000 grit sandpaper. Next stage is the polish! 1200 grit. 1500 grit. 2000 and 3000 grit.

Thanks for the kind comments all. Can't wait to see this in the flesh. I think I'll also need to have a nose at James' new purchase too.

Nicely done Rob. Looking really good -
I'd like one of these in addition to the subsequent version.

That was quick! -
Stone chip has been applied. Kane's attention to detail on the bodywork is impressive. I'm very happy so far with the work he has done. I can't wait to see the end result.

Thanks Darryl, appreciate the comment.

Thanks again both for pulling these together for the club. Hopefully they will sell well at the NEC. Will I be able to order a copy if v1 and v2 post event, or is the v1 a limited run just for the NEC?

Shouldn't the garage that was working on your car, who had custody of your vehicle as a Bailee, be claiming on their insurnace? Also according to the Citizens Advice Bureau website, the FCA rules mandate that insurance companies have to have settled the claim or have made a reasonable offer on the loss of the vehicle within 3 months. I've also started dismantling my Alcon ADeX front (6 pot) and rear (4 pot) calipers so that they can be resprayed and rebuilt. I've been in contact with Alcon to identify what the model numbers are and therefore what parts I need. The rear calipers were difficult to identify, but I was able to establish that they were from a Jaguar XKR. This has helped identify the correct model number. I need new pistons and seal kits. Unfortunately as these are race spec calipers they don't have an external weather boots, so are prone to corrosion. The corrosion isn't bad, but you can see a visible mark / lip and I can't live with that, so I'll buy new. I also need new bridge pipes. Front discs are a floating type and 365mm. Rears have been custom made to work with stock UK rear brake discs.
