  1. Dave, The wife has kindly undertaken a computation based on the information provided which should be attached as an Excel file. (please not there are comments tabs on the table fo you to read) You should probably get this checked out by a tax advisor who deals in CGT as my wife does not do this as a normal part of her job, but it won't be far out. She also says that if the property was ever let out a further allowance is available so let me know and I'll pass on the details. Cheers, Mat and Reb.
  2. Dave, I think I can help out a little here, my wife is a qualified accountant and tax advisor. She says in order to calculate the CGT she will require the following details (these may have already have been stated but it's easier if you give them in one go ) 1. What date was the house originally bought? 2. Exactly how much was paid? 3. Have you carried out any supplemental work to the property such as adding an extension or conservatory etc? 4. At what rate do you normally pay tax, i.e. are you a 40% taxpayer? Cheers
  3. These look great guys. Just about to fit them along with my brand new complete set of dash panels
  4. I tried loads of placs and was quoted silly money for some Pirelli P Zero Nero's 265/35 18" 93Y. In the end I got them for £130 each (fitted) from Chessington Tyres of all places!!!! The cheapest before this was £157-£169.
  5. Sorry to hear about the car situation buddy. I replaced my whole dashboard on my supra in the first 2 months of ownership. Its not as hard as it sounds, me and my brother took the thing out, cleaned up the wiring loom and alarm and replaced the whole thing in 2 days. Granted he is an auto electrician, but hey its feasable. Granted I never had to deal with the matrix, but how hard can it really be. Think about it 4 days no car or 4 days no car and £1000. No contest!!
  6. Don't like it too angular and it has no hips. From the front it looks like a box!!!! It needs nice wide hips......hmmmmmm
  7. Whats the condition of the rear spolier, any pictures???
  8. I'm just about to do mine. But instead of doing the whole LED thing I will be using where I can refractor LED replacement Bulbs. There is a company on Ebay called Velocity LEDs that suppy the #194 refractor bulbs, which unlike a standard LED with its limited 20 degree viewing angle, consists of 5 LED's in one bulb pointing in all angles. The other smaller type are #74's which are inverted LEDs, but again fit straight into the bulb holder. Of course I will still be using LEDs for the heater controls, but it saves having to do the dial cluster, cigarette lighter etc... I would point out though that these do cost around $9.99 a pair!!! However, the Ebay guy does bulk discount with batches of 10 or more . Will post the results of the change when I get the bulbs this week.
  9. With that in mind I'll wave like a right idot at any I see regardless of the vehicle I'm in .
  10. I have sent a message to 'Pig', one of the South East reps, to ask for advice and his views on a club meet in and around Guildford. Should he agree I will start a thread in the relevant section. Have a good christmas everyone!!
  11. As for ladymead, I agree, I would rather eat my own arms than hang around there!!!
  12. Snooze I appreciate that there are regional meets but a lot of the time I can't make them and I am sure this is the same for other local members to Guildford. I think the suggestion is for small ad hoc event where 'local' boys and girls can meet up and have a yarn!! Of course everyone who wanted to come would be more than welcome. I think this thread for a meet should be moved to the National and Regional events section. I will start the thread for a Guildford meet (Generic area it may move away to the outskirts) and we can plan something for the new year:thumbs:. Scooter, I think he does have a beard. The car looks mint and he often just sits there in it, not for excessive periods of time but just a little!!! It's not you is it???
  13. Sorry for the delay keron, I'll take the heater controls. How do you want to be paid? Paypal??
  14. I see a few in the Farnham, Haslemere and Guildford area, but it appears that these are owned by non club members. I live in Halsemere and often see a facelift gunmetal standard TT driven by a gent aged easily in his 40's. Girlracer, I drive a Pug day in day out much the same as Scooter so it's few and far between that I see a Sup while i'm in mine. I look like a right twat waving at another Supra driver in my 206 LX!! Maybe we should arrange a local meeting for the Guildford area as there seems to be a growing number of owners??

    :(

Sorry to hear about the car Nic. As pistonbroke says just look forward to how she will be in the future. Is there any chance you can claim anything through the insurance??
  16. I heard that those citreon adverts that had transformers in them were a testing ground for Speilberg who wanted to gauge the interest in them making a film. These type of adverts were shown all over th world??? It looks really good. Just hope the story does not suffer for the effects like in most movies these days. I'm hoping with Speilberg on the scenes we will get at the very minimum, an entertaining 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
  17. These look great count me in for the full set!!
  18. I saw a red back in the summer by the Farnham Road carpark, was in my black Sup, but did not acknowledge. Was that you to?? Had a unpainted nose at the time.
  19. Hey guys if you liked that you'll love this!!! I believe their French Mirage F1's http://www.break.com/index/flying_low.html
  20. Sorry to hear the bad news mate. Have you asked the Police if they put the index through any ANPR systems??
  21. Thats more like 8J (245) front 9.5J (265) rear.... Isn't it??
