  1. The sliders stuck on my front calipers and FUBAR'd them, although everyone kept telling me it was the piston!!. Now waiting on some replacements. I don't think from what I have read that there is much point refurbing a caliper as if they have gone wrong once, then they will go again quite quickly!!! Having said that it all depends on what the problem is in the frst place.
  2. Sorry for the delay. Postcode is GU27 1NJ.
  3. Wow, thats very generous of you Before I get all excited, can you find out how much the postage would be. I know they do it by weight and calipers are not the lightest of things.
  4. Cheers Alan. How much would you want for the set?
  5. Thanks for the reply AlanM, Can you give me an idea of mileage on them?
  6. My front near side caliper (J-Spec) has given up the ghost so I am in need of a replacement. Does anyone know if you can get new J-Spec calipers in the Uk?? Failling this does anyone have a set of front low mileage j-spec calipers they want to get rid of?? There must be loads with all the UK conversions going on!!!
  7. Cool. It was nice to see some. I think next time I go down to Cwmcarn to see the wifes grandparents I will take the Supra. Those roads look good fun!!!
  8. Three Supras in convoy in the Brecon Beacons on Saturday around 14:30hrs. Its the most in one hit that i have ever seen . All standard and overtaking loads of cars!!! Made the Chav in the Civic behind me calm down .
  9. This is a million times better than the ebay crap!!! If only I had this when i had to remove my dash it would have made the job much quicker!!
  10. Will this whole traking thing fall into th realms of the European Human Rights Legislation like the ID cards? Also where do they stand on starting a system where we pay for the setup costs? Surely the whol system would be almost impossible to implement and police.
  11. Granted they have a higher income tax. But what other taxes do they pay?? I really don't know but I bet with stealth taxes we pay well over that and as pointed out already we get bugger all back. Is it just me or are we paying more and more and getting less and less. we don't even have national industry to really worry about any more!!
  12. I saw this with my brother today. I said to him at the time that it was to good to be true. Hope you get some response from ebay about this and that the MOFO is banned and reported to the police.
  13. Cheers I may have to take you up on the offer but before I do, I have ordered one from toyota although they delivered the wrong part and were not very happy about me phoning them and telling them they were wrong!!! If this does not work out i'll give you a bell.
  14. Sounds like a winner to me Chris. Had a look at after market ECU's and they don't come cheap. Especially when you think that they need to be professionally installed and then require additional harnesses and sensors etc...... I like the idea of £100 plug and play.
  15. Thanks for the picture colsoop, unfortunately I make reference to the round plastic trim piece that recesses in to the dash panel that is black in colour.
  16. Ok, gents, so i accept the inevitable and buy a new ECU. I'm not looking to power a shuttle to the moon here just run the car at BPU or BPU+ lets say. What a reasonable ECU then, how much am I looking at?
  17. Cheers Gamer, I'll have a look at these.
  18. I take that back as I have just seen one going for £150...Ouch!!
  19. Cheers TLicence, I think i'll get a OEM ECU to begin with, as I assume the ones you make reference to are quite expensive. I have seen a couple of manual ones go for about £40 on here before.
  20. When I bought my car it had alreday been converted from an automatic. On reading a thread it was mentioned that although the car would run happily on the auto ecu it causes short shifting??? My car still has the auto ecu and I was wondering if it was really worth changing it to a manual one??
  21. Can anyone give me the part number for the plastic trim piece that sits in the dash with the cig lighter
