  1. Naked, as I find clothes attempt to twist and suffocate me chap!! Having said that when away I sleep in t-shirt and shorts as Harvards comments ring strong in my mind. However, there is also the chance of the cleaner coming in to find you naked snoring on the bed!!
  2. Martin, Please see you PM's please regarding ECU you sent me!!!
  3. As far as I am concerned this is the best comedy ever written. I love it. It's a Geeks playground!!! The obscure references are excellent. You can easily see the original concept for Shaun of the Dead in the vulva episode (Resident Evil). ''Theres no reason for any of us to be here any longer than necessary. Lets split up, look for survivors and get the hell out of here!''
  4. Martin, Is the Maunal ECU J-Spec or Uk Spec, TT or NA? If a Jspec TT ECU I'll take it. Ta.
  5. Yep, once remembered never forgotten!!! We geeks just can't help ourselves
  6. Not sure if its a Mk1 or Mk2, I think the MK2 had canards on the leading edge of the main projectile....OK I'll stop now!!
  7. I believe thats an old bloodhound SAM (Surface to Air Missile) also sometimes refered to as a SAGW (Surface to Air Guided Weapon)
  8. Is it the new shape or old shape?
  9. As an update and for anyone in the future having to go through this crap situation. I went to toyota yesterday and asked how much the pipe that runs from the ABS actuator to the rear near side (left) flexi hose would cost. Surprisingly it was only £23 and will be in on Tuesday Now to fit it. With ref to Chris W's advice I went to all my local garages, seeing as the car can't be driven and not one of them would touch the car. Got things like, ''never had to work on one of those before'' and the typical import ''that will cost you'' Chris if I were not 100+ miles I would bring her to you!!! For future ref the part number is 47327-14030. Will update again with some pictures once the pipe is installed.
  10. If thats from Steve Manley then you can assume that its the best your going to get direct from Toyota. Having said that you might want to check with Nic (Import Pimp).
  11. Chris I have also sent you a PM, but alas the new splay did not hold and fluid pissed everywhere!!! I am going to buy a new section and join it to the old pipe. Do you have the spec for the pipe, splay and union knuts?? I cant seem to find them anywhere!! Ta, Matt
  12. Jezz, Any updates on the steering wheel and indicator stalks?? Do you have a standard black spoiler? Ta
  13. Cheers guys , Your advice is greatly recieved. I have managed to borrow a brake pipe tool, so have cut the tip and put a new nut on and splayed the pipe. The question is will it hold??? I am going to bleed the system tonight and see if there is any seepage. If there is I will follow your advice Chris and replace the end section. As you say Chris you can't afford to cut corners with these things . Will update accordingly.
  14. I have refurbed my brakes, fitted goodridge hoses etc.. on the last wheel (left rear) I did the most stupid thing and threaded the nut that sits on the end of the stock brake line!!!! Basically I now need to replace that line. Does anyone know if there is a connector block along the car to the rear or does it go straight to the ABS thingy? Also where can I get the plastic covered brake lines from? Will Toyota sell them or a factors shop?? Any help would be greatfully recieved. This is most definitely a low point in ownership!!!
  15. Hi Brad, What you want for the stock spolier?
  16. Much the same as Harvard I have 3 cars, 2 of which are crappy peugeot 206's. My sup's been off the road for about 8 weeks while I refurb th brake system. Strangely though when driving the 206 if I think about the Supra, which is quite often, I start to get confussed about the controls!!!! Strange......
  17. Anyone got a very good conditioned standard 4 spoke steering wheel (Dont need airbag) and indicator stalks they want to sell. All the writing on my stalks are starting to vanish!! Open to offers. Ta
  18. Possibly the biggest waste of money in the world. Would vodafone mobile phone insurance cover the loss???
  19. Been on to Tein's UK website and they state that they are able to recondition their suspension? Do any of the traders have access to this service. My flex setup came with the car. The springs casings have started to perish and the springs are now rusting. Although cosmetic I would like to replace these and at the same time get all the suspension checked out. Is any of the above possible and if so how much would it cost?
  20. do the original veilsdie spoilers have an adjustable rear foil?
  21. I also studied climate change as part of my degree. We used the same modeling software that the IPCC use to model climate change to generate hypothetical scenarios. What was very interesting was that by altering very small chemical compositions in the atmosphere we were able to drastically alter the best and worst case scenarios. Again quite interestingly is the fact that the books I used for my course had to be rewritten every year. This was due to the fact that the IPCC's model and scenraios would change so fundementally every single year. The changes were massive, differences would vary between 10 years and 1000 years!! It was from this that I formulated the opinion that we know F all about climate modelling. Finally, we also studied a thing called the particle cooling effect. This basically states that for all the crap we are apparently throwing into the atmosphere there will be a reflection of radiation from the particles which will cool the atmosphere. It was argued at the time (this was in 2000) that global warming and particle cooling would in effect cancel each other out!!
  22. It's definately possible. I have a Clifford 950 Intellistart, and I rang directed electronics (I think that was them) and asked about fitting an after market turbo timer. They said I could not do it, but then stated for a small fee (yeah right!!) they could connect a relay that would act as a timer. I assume that all a turbo timer is nothing more than a relay that has an adjustable time delay. On this basis, surely you could connect the turbo timer to the smae points as the 'relay' and get the desired effect???? Anyone out there know any better???
