  1. Full shell respray and BPU sorted, new wheels and UK brakes fitted.
  2. I like it mate. I think the veilsdie kit is agressive and stands out, which is very intune with the original intention with regards to the styling of the Supra which was designed to stand out as a muscle car. The only thing I don't like is is the bat wing. I can't wait to get rid of mine. New ariels are expensive.
  3. Could someone with an EPC please provide me with the part numbers for the rubber seals (LH and RH) that go on each of the doors which when the window closes they seal against. I have the picture from the EPC which only states 67861 (RH) and 67862 (LH). Also is this the correct part number for the hood stay clip: 53452-14010 and the Seal, front fender to cowl side 53866-14030(these are the small bits of rubber that fill the gap at the base of the front pillar against the front wing). Thanks in advance.
  4. Cheers, In all likelihood from what I have read day to day driving should not raise an issue. I just don't want to get caught out and end up destroying my PAS pump or steering rack from overheated fluid in the future.
  5. Sorry to drag this up again. I have had a quick search and read many articles but still need some advice. I am about to fit a Greddy 2 row to my J-Spec Manual TT (not facelift). The kit comes with a new PAS cooling system, but from what I have read this is crap. The car will eventually be bpu, and I have not ruled out going single. Therefore my question is, should I fit an aftermarket PAS oil cooler. I don't really intend on racing the car, although again I am into future-proofing the car as I can't rule out not wanting to have a play on a track in the future. If I do instal one, where should I put it and what cooler should I get? Is there a kit? I have heard the Mocal ones are meant to be good? While I am not a mechanical biff, I am a novice, so keep it simple guys .
  6. Same problem here in a manner of speaking. Recieved a parcel from RHD Japan. Including postage the items cost me £430. However RHD only declared 38,000 yen approx which came in at around £172, this included the postage charge. The parcel arrived on the Thursday, no problems there!! On Sat I got a call from a female who said that she was from Fedex and that I owed £387 on duty!! I told her this was a mistake as this was (as far as she was concerned) double the value of the goods + postage. She became confused at my refusal to pay so I asked her if she could prove who she was as I would be unwilling to hand over card details to a stranger on the phone!! She became even more confused and stated that she would need to send a letter or email, so I opted for the email. The email confirmed she was from Fedex, but then a 1 week battle ensued where I asked for them to rectify their calculations, based on a conversion rate of 222.89 yen and VAT at 17.5%, followed by 3.5% duty and 2.5% Fedex admin. Eventaully a bill of £80 was agreed, although this was still in excess of 50% of the declared value + postage. The issue was with customs, The goods +postage is used to calculate duty with a VAT conversion fee of £7.19. In addition to this because of the parcels size I was charged additional freight charges. These combined spiraled the costs up!!! Damn penny pinchers. For ref I got my wife involved who is a Chartered ACCA and CTA accountant and Tax Advisor, she informed me that these later charges were well within HMRC's remit to impose. Still even with duty I saved myself in excess of £300 on UK prices, a 2 row Greddy FMIC, Greddy diversion plate, cusco master cyclinder brace, greddy upper rad pipe and greddy oil cap for £430, not bad at all
  7. Veilside for me, C1 that is. I do like the Doluck nose but not enough to swap from my veilside!!
  8. Ultralite 755's with a 30 offset on the front fit? You can get those for around the £700 mark. There are a few more in the range that I think might fit. Have a look at the traders websites, I think Envy and Whifbitz do them.
  9. I like the look of that a lot. I think I am going to have to sell the house though!
  10. Thats what you get when your changing you sig and avatar and not paying attention. Most definately my bad (He fades into background.......)
  11. Glosphil, depending on where you are in Hants. I know a guy near Hindhead (A3) who I can put you in contact with. PM me if you are interested.
  12. Kind of. Took the car in for an MOT yesterday and I nearly failed the brake balance test. Offside front was 16% out !!!! I have refurb the j-specs once and can't be bothered to do it again. I have used this as a reason to upgrade . Thankfully the UK's dont have bloody, crappy slide pins to go wrong!! (Thats the problem, by the way ) Seeing as these normally go for a lot more with pads and discs in this condition I can hardly say no.
  13. I know!! For ref I have asked for the black set . I can't believe no one else is interested .
  14. Dont all the cars have to have these for the aircon?
  15. At a guess and I really mean that, could it be the gearbox mountings?
  16. I have a 3 month old 40" LE40M87BDX. I spent ages chewing over sizes, manufacturers, plasma vs LCD and in the end chose this. I spent hours in shops looking at various images on numerous TV's. As far as I was concerned the Sony's although good (same screens as the Samsungs!!) most defintely did not warrant the extra £200+. With blue ray my TV is franky amazing although with standard sky the image can be patchy, but what do you expect buying a 1080p tv!! i have had no problems with my tv. My father in law has just spent in excess of £6000 on a home cinema setup which had to be professionally installed. He has a pioneer 50" plasma and I would say that it is no better than my TV. Although his surround sound is epic and destroys my internal organs when the sub-woofer kicks off. The Samsungs are not the best, but I think they offer superb value for money. They are also in my opinion the best looking tv's. As for plasma vs LCD, at least I can lay my LCD tv flat to transport it without damaging it!!
  17. For a car (Supra) which many people slate for its track abilities (Lets forget about the spin!!) I was very impressed with the way the Supra performed. A lot better than I thought.
  18. Yeah, looks llike he will struggle to make it up the positins now. Although a good climb from all the hassle he had earlier in the race!
  19. My best mate had the last shape M3. In one year he went through 2 sets of rear springs. He got so bored of having reliability issues with the suspension he ended up selling it. Apparently, this does not apply to the M3 alone, the springs are a real nightmare and a common failing part according to his local dealer - on the 3 series that is. He now drives an 330Ci and that too has just bust a set of rear springs. I think he has Alpina suspension on his 330Ci if that makes any difference. Funnily enough he is about to give up on BMW's!!! P.S. he drives like an old woman, and despite owning an M3 always wanted to go for a blast in the Supra. Said it was much more of a fun car!!!
  20. Well thats got to be a good thing. Do you have them to hand?
  21. It's your lucky day. I have a spare one on my old dash.....I bought a brand new set (Joy!!). You are most welcome to it for free. Just ping me your address and I will pop it in the post. I will also include the bracket that holds it in. All I ask is that you remember my kindness in the future when I am scratching around for a part
  22. Sorry to hijack, but are the battery clamps differnt for UK and Jspec car? I have a bigger battery fitted to the car than when is was imported and the bracket does not fit properly, so I improvised with my foot!! If they are £7 from Mr T then he will get a call in the morning.
