  1. Another Paul Cheshire overhaul by the looks of it?
  2. You're all in on this rebuild, so why cut corners or take chances. You'd just regret it later on. I assume you'd like to replicate this work on the other rear quarter? Any luck finding a lh new panel?
  3. It's good of Toyota to offer this for those that pine after a manual. I've no doubt it will offer a more involved drive. However, I wouldn't give up my auto for the manual. I'm still holding out for the very unlikely dream of an S58 engine variant.
  4. For the life of me I couldn't work out what part of the car I was looking at in that first image

    Car SOS

They made such a big deal out of the rear window seal. Made me chuckle.
  6. You're not alone on the rust around the steering column hole. Be interesting to see how much more metal disappears with the acid dip!
  7. As above. Not worth the effort if you don't intend on keeping this longer term.
  8. The amount you get for the switch should pay for your new seats at this rate!
  9. I'm eagerly awaiting your car going off for its chemical dip. Any idea when it will be going?

I'll take you up on your offer Keron
  11. Will you have all the seams resealed?
  12. Did you buy the GR Supra oil? I also noticed this wasn't required as part of the warranty service schedule, and will probably do the same as you and do it myself. Especially if they want to charge £375 for the pleasure
  13. I'd really like to find a Toyota dealer that give a crap about the car and use them. I'm loathed to use an independent whilst under warranty, I get that as long as it is maintained to the same standard and with the correct parts the warranty should stand, but I suspect in the event of a serious claim this would be used against you. Have you used an independent for anything yet? Did you get an oil change after the 1200 mile engine run in?
  14. I had the off side rear tyre replaced today as it got a nice screw in it Rear tyres are Michelin Pilot Super Sport XL 275/35 R19.
  15. The drivers door shut has prescribed tyre pressures for various loads for different tyre sizes. I went by these as they were put there by Toyota, I mean BMW. The highest recommended is 2.6 bar or 38 psi for my wheel sizes. I then had to reset the tyre pressure monitoring system to log the 32 psi as being the desired pressure. The tyre pressure isn't affected by the mode the car in, or at least as far as I can tell.
  16. Have you found anywhere that is better. There is some talk on the MKV forum of Bracknell Toyota being better? I'd gladly travel for a better Toyota dealership.
  17. I also discovered that the dealer had put the psi of all the tyres to 42 psi. The recommended level is 32 psi. The car has been better to drive since adjusting this. I'm not impressed with the technical capability of the dealer! I'm going to have to give some serious thought as to where I can get this serviced.
  18. I don't have any of these and have tried looking for a genuine set for sale. I don't think I had them with my first Supra either. If anyone has a set they don't mind parting with I'd gladly consider buying them. Ronttuk - I assume they are from a UK spec car vs Jap Import?
  19. You'll be able to buy a Veyron soon after selling one of these.
  20. As Matt says, this was only made for the off side. This is a plastic protector for the fuel tank, as such it wasn't necessary for the other side, as that just had the exhaust.
  21. I got the Jada F&F 1:18 scale model from Amazon from the below seller. Amazon F&F Supra
  22. I like the 1:18 scale models. I've also got Brian's 1:24 scale white Jada Supra, but the 1:18 scale is much nicer though. I suspect those Kyosho models are worth a few £££?
